Looks like you can still order TRD front lowering springs for ST202 superstrut.

How you doing guys I wonder if any one can help. I have gen 6 toyota celica st202 jap import, with super strut (ssII) and I am from the UK. I have recently encountered some problems with my drivers side spring and am now looking to replace the springs I have all round wih another set of lowering springs. The springs that are fitted to my car at present are branded RS-R and are lowering springs. I believe it lowered the car by 40mm as was said by the previous owner of the car. I've had the car for almost 3 yrs now and this is first real problem i've had with car.

So coming to my dilemma. I need to find a set of lowering springs, which are suitable to use for the super strut suspension. It has become quite a hassle to find a set of lowering springs which are specific for the super strut. So far I have found one set.

it seems they are my only option so far and there are 2 problems with this. One is the price is quite high and it won't arrive in my country (UK) for another 6-8 weeks. The problem with this is I have my MOT next week, and the way car is at present, it will not pass. I am part of other clubs and have been asking around all over for advice and have got so many different answers, and i am in total confusion on how i should approach my situation.

I know there are many people with my model of celica and I have seen members who have lowered them. So my question is what springs did you use, does it matter wheteher I use the springs suited for the standard macpherson setup. I was told by someone that it would be ok to use the springs suited for the st202 whether it is standard or superstrut. But when I looked at a set of springs that I have shown a link for below, it states (not suitable for superstrut), so there is obviously a difference.

Another member said that I should use the springs that are suited for the gt4 because they also use the superstrut suspension. The problem with that accoring to my knowledge and other members and companies agree won't work. The reason is because the gt4 (st205) is an AWD car with a 2.0 litre turbo engine. So this means there is more weight in the front of the car and in the back in comparison to the st202.

I know I have gone on abit guys, but hope that the above info helps you guys understand the problem I am having and ultimately be able to resolve this issue soon. I really appreciate this guys and hopefully when and if it is done, I will post a thread showing the chnages in my celica step by step.
