The one on my car broke off right at the base. It is the fixed type, short black rubber mast that attaches to the base of the antenna with a screw.

I've already checked with all the surrounding junk yards and nobody has one.

If anyone here has one they would like to sell, please leave me a message or PM me.

Thanks for the help.

Well now that spring is just around the corner i am looking into getting my car back to shinny condition biggrin.gif But the previous owner of my car did not like to wax the car. So my paint on my hood and top of my car is oxidized. Does anyone have any tips on what to do to get rid of it. During the summer after i waxed it you cant see it that bad unless you get close. Help!!!

ps
i use meguirs wax.

If you really want to go to town on it use a 4 step process:

1st the Clay bar (I use Mother's),
followed by Meguiar's Scratch X,
then several coats of Polish (Meguiar's Deep Crystal),
topped of with a coat or two of Meguiar's Deep Crystal Wax.

I found these products at Pep-Boys. Wal Mart carries a few of them also.

I highly recommend that you use a hand held orbital buffer like the 6" ones they sell at Wal Mart. You can do a much better job than going at it by hand.

I'm still working on my white 95 ST as the weather and time permit. I don't think it ever saw a coat of wax with the previous owner. The contamination and oxidation of the paint job was pretty widespread but you'd have a hard time telling it now on the areas I've completed the 4 step process. It really works!

If you need anymore info let me know.

Do you already have factory power door locks? If so, you can probably find a Crimestopper CS-845RKE keyless entry system on eBay for about $45 shipped. I didn't have factory power door locks, so I bought a couple actuators, that keyless entry system, and a siren(so I could have the chirp chirp sound tongue.gif), and my total came out to about $60-70, including shipping. smile.gif

I installed it myself and it worked great. The unit has some nice features for the price, and has auxilary outputs.

Also, I can help you out installing it. Just search for some answers, and if you don't find what you need, write up a new post. I've posted a lot regarding this before, and I think maybe soon I'll write up a sticky on alarm installations. wink.gif

Hi Coomer.

Will the Crimestopper CS-865RKE do. There's several on ebay for around $43 with shipping. Here's the Keyless entry system

If the install is not too awfully complicated, I may want to give it a try also. Since my car does not have the power locks either, I'll need some actuators too. Do you think these will do or do I need a specifc type for the Celica.

Thanks for your help.

You still got the spoiler? If so, e-mail me your price and pics to mverzele@yahoo.com
Would you be able to ship? I assume it's for the 95 ST Coupe.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Max

Thanks for the replies folks. I just received a glass polishing kit I found on Ebay, since I was not able to find one locally in any of the auto parts stores or glass companies. I hope to give it a try over the weekend, providing we get some warm weather. They recommend using it when the temp is at least 60 degrees.

Thanks again for your help, and have a good one smile.gif

Hi folks.

I'm a first time celica owner and a newly registered member of this site that I've been visiting since early December after deciding to buy a 6gc for my daily driver.

After much research and a good bit of shopping I bought a '95 ST Coupe the day after Christmas. The wife and I made about a 700 mile round trip to pick it up. Well worth it so far.

The previous owner took fairly good care of the car but the paint needed some work to bring back its original shine. That's were some of the tips on claying, polishing and waxing that have been posted on this site were pretty helpful. I've never been much of a car buff but I have been hooked by this celi, and I must admit that I'm enjoying it. I had an Apexi muffler installed and added some alloy wheels to dress her up a bit.

I was wondering if any of you have tried some of the glass polishing kits on the market. I've got a few light scratches on the windshield that are a bit annoying. They are not bad enough to require replacing the windshield yet, but I sure would like to get rid of them if at all possible. If anyone has any comments, ideas, or suggestions on how to accomplish this I would very much like to hear them.

Have a good weekend.

Max
