You can't do that in england dude. The abs light has to flash with a sequence of numbers. Anyway, the good news is i've fixed it. I took another sensor out of my old celica and it worked. The problem is it's designed for a right hand side, not a left, so I had to bodge it into place! lol. That's one problem down, a list to go.. she's black with 17" alloys, very tidy so worth it! |

p.s. found this whilst researching If the ABS light blinks at a constant rate of two times per second, there are no fault codes stored in memory. That doesn’t necessarily mean everything is OK because something may be having an adverse affect on the operation of the ABS system. This includes low battery voltage, a "dirty" wheel speed sensor that is not giving a reliable reading or a hydraulic problem in the modulator assembly (See. Fig. 4). |

Sounds like you have a dodgy connection somewhere. At least your not in my boat. I can't get my celica through it's MOT because of the abs light. It was throwing codes 11, 31, 32, 33 and 34. I changed the solnoid relay and pumped the brake 8 times for reset. Now it's throwing code 32 front left. I'm really not sure how realiable this diagnostic is?? I'm not sure if I trust it to go and buy a new sensor. Personally, what i've decided to do, you could do the same too, is to test every sensor using an meter. They should read between 600 to 1800.. something like that, check rotor teeth to make sure they have not cracked. Let me know how you get on, I'm trying my hardest to get my celica back on the road. bloody abs!! |

So i changed the relay switch from my other celica. I pumped the brake pedal 8 times to reset. Now I'm just getting a code 32. It's very strange because it showed a code 32 in my other celica as the abs light is on in that I'm just wondering, how good is this diagonstics? It sounds a bit stupid and misleading... |

Can someone please help me with this ABS problem I managed to get codes for the abs light that remains on Code 11 Open in solenoid relay circuit. Check actuator wiring harness, solenoid relay, solenoid relay wiring harness and solenoid relay connector. See SOLENOID RELAY under COMPONENT TESTING Code 31 Front right sensor Code 32 Front left sensor Code 33 Rear right sensor Code 34 Rear left sensor Is it really possible for all my sensors to be out?? Stuck on what to do.. any advice would be helpful. P.s. celica is an ST codes 31-34 are the sensors @ each wheel |

Hang on, so i will not be able to use my hand brake anymore? When you talk about a GT set up, my rear has calipers on already, mine are disc drums if that makes sense? But if i can't use my handbrake, i'm sticking with disc drums and upgrading to drilled etc.. |

Thanks for all your replys I am 100% switching to rotors. I am just concentrating on the rears for now as money is tight this month. I have had a look at that website and it only brings up brake parts for the front. I know this is a big ask, but can someone please send me the exact links for parts they recommend for my car. Thanks |

Yes, have you checked your lambda sensor? These engines are vaccum controlled, a sensor such as that will give out the wrong signals to the ECU. From my experience after rebuilding my engine due to oil consumption, It was running rough on cold starts, I checked to vaccum leaks.. none.. After scratching my head for a while, I decided to clean the lambda sensor with carb spray. Fixed! Because my car was sitting for months, I guess all the burnt oil settled on it. I would give this a shot, my engine is a 7AFE. Hope this helps |

Outside still looks old ![]() I'm from the UK, can someone PLEASE tell me where I can buy a complete hose kit (Vaccum and water pipes). Thank you. |

Yeah, this is a pain, they aren't very strong are they! Mine has a crease down the middle. I swear I have seen mods where people have put leather around them..... Speaking of which, has anyone had thoughts leather material for the seats? |

Well I rang Toyota yesterday and they want £88 for camber/alignment/suspension check/see if anything is bent Another £44 to check the brakes and tell me what the problem is, apparently they take them off and use a machine to see where the problem has come from. They reckon it's a bad caliper. The only thing they will do is adjust all setting and give me a full report for the brake problem and direct me for what I should do next. I'm thinking this will save a lot of headaches and I don't think its something a back street garage should be doing. The worst thing that can happen is my subframe is bent for which they said the car would need a jig! Car isn't lowered, alignment is actually fine, the steering doesn't shake when driving, just on braking. I think after all this research i've finally come to the conclusion that my camber is out, if not, subframe is bent. As for brakes, caliper needs replacing/reconditioning - my next headache after Toyota have finished diagnosing the problem. Hey, it could be worse right! Andy |

Hi guys, really hope someone out there can help me with this headache i've had recently! My front left wheel has a positive camber, I think previous owner curbed it, wheel looks like \------| The car has had a second hand hub, strut and wishbone fitted, this has improved things alot but not completely, I am now wondering what else it could be, I hope its not the subframe! I read that people alter the camber but would I need a kit to do this or can it be done alone? Headache 2 Third set of discs + pads on the same side, front left, they have all warped! Shaking through the steering wheel and pulsing on pedal whilst braking. I have tested the temperatures of disks, left is higher then right which I guess kinda makes sense. What is worth changing here? Rod ends? Ball joint? Caliper? Garage tell me my caliper isn't sticking. Someone please help me, I have considered a full alignment/chamber/body check at a professional garage but not sure where to look. Absolute love the car and have spent hundreds already doing it up. ![]() Andy Forgot to say, my car is a 1995 GT 2.0 UK Thanks |
