Have you considered a Mini ITX computer ? I guess its not worth considering if you already have a G4 you can use, but you can get a mini ITX for about 350-400 USD that runs on the 12 volt directly from the car.

What kinda screen are you going for ? Got a link ? I have been wondering about buying a Lilliput touch lcd for my car but it would be neat to hear from someone how has seen it (or any other screen) in action smile.gif

2x 4Ohm woofers in parallel equals 2 Ohm smile.gif

So you are running each "output" at 4 ohm, but they are bridged internally to generate a 2 ohm channel.

How much watt you are pushing all depends on how the manual describes the wattage. If the values gives are per output then you are running 4 ohm, meaning 300 watt. If the manual is refering to the load on the channel (2x 4 ohm in par. = 2 ohm) then you are pushing 600 watt ....

It seams people are having some trouble posting images and using all the image hosting services out there, so i have created a small page where you can host images for this forum.

The service is located at: Image Hosting Service

URL: http://www.gunstig.org/6gc/

It is completly free to use for members of the forum and even gives you the forum code you need to paste into a post to be able to display the image.

Any feedback will be taken into consideration and probably implemented smile.gif

Now run and upload... The server is located on a 2mbps connection in Norway but shouldnt have any problems hosting some images for this forum ....

Uhm ... Just because you have components in the back doesnt mean you have to have more wattage there then in the front ? wink.gif

I agree with celimanST ... Gowith components front and back, and add a 10" to the trunk ... It will give you the thump and nice sound even with the top down ...

Thats a pretty nice setup, but i guess you prolly should have used some harder materials together with the fiber glass or what ever you used. Like a small wooden piece under the switches to get it nice and flat. I guess it all depends on what you were going for though smile.gif

Would it be possible to make a switch that only allows it to be started in neutral ? ... I guess you would have to get a little smart with the placement, but one should think that with a few microswitches this should be possible ?

Could be that your signal cables are passing some other power cable inside the dash ? Try to follow the cable from the amp to the HU... There might be some car electronics that is ****ing with you tongue.gif

The current leader of the termpro.com db Drag 2004 series, when rating using the certified SPL, actually uses a Pioneer headunit combined with woofers from Digital Designs and amps from Crossfire
From what I remember he averages over 170 dB every time ... (and thats pretty loud tongue.gif)
He is running 20 000 watt rms though ... from 20 amps to 5 woofers ...

The top guy in Street Max 1-2 is using Earthquake amps with Beyond Audio woofers and Earthquake components smile.gif
