Hello all!

I am looking for some lowering springs. Used or new, looking for a good price. Thank you!

Wes

Hey,

They have been used for 110,000 kilometers. About 6 years old. I installed tein coilovers so these are for sale.

I have an 89 MR2 MK1.5 and an 87 project. I've had a total of 20 of them in my life.

Cheers,

Martin

So this weekend i installed the coilovers. I starter with the passenger rear. When i put the wheel on i noticed the tire was rubbing the bottom side of the spring and the side of the perch for the spring to sit on. My rear rims are 17x8.5 +33 235/45/17. I put on a 3 or 4mm spacer and it clears now.

The fronts were are pleasant surprise!! I took apart the kyb gr2 / eibach setup that i had on there. Just below the top plate was the exact same bearing setup that my coilovers came with. I used that to replace the one questionable one from my teins .

Car sits nice now and ride is not bad at all. Very happy with how it turned out. I will post some pics in my user profile..

Cheers,

Martin

Wow,

Your's look quite different from mine. I will take some proper pics and put them in my profile.

I'm using stock top mounts, maybe that makes a difference?

Thanks for the reply.

I should note that this part has roller bearings inside it. It comes apart easily . There is a circular gap around the inner part of it. If i were to put an " o" ring in there, it might just fill in the gap.

Hey,

I picked up a set of these coilovers. I noticed one front thrust washer has a little play in it. I have not installed them yet but wondering if it would cause issues . Would like to replace it or repair if possible.

Has anyone had this issue on their setup before?

I believe it could have been damaged by not being seated properly between the top mount and the plate for the spring. My setup is using the stock top mounts.

Thanks,

Martin

Anyone know if a complete throttle body swap from a 95 to a 98 celica is gonna work? Both are 5sfe. I noticed the vac ports are a liittle diffferent.

Im having very low / not holding idle on only cold starts.

Hey,

I would like to delete my ac parts in the engine bay since its not working and i will never fix it.

I've heard i'd need to do something with a relay or the fan (s) would stay on constantly ? Any info on that?

Its a 98 GT 5sfe 5 speed.

Thanks,

Martin

Hey,

My 98 5sfe has started to make a whining noise from the power steering pump. The fluid level looks good. I will flush it.

Wondering if a pump from an st205 gt4 3sgte is a direct swap. Have a low milage one sitting here.

I hear it's a big job to do the pump. Does the axle have to come out?

Thanks,

Martin

Took out the hid setup. The ballast on the left was being a pain on colder days. You would still need the holders. Some Hondas have them that work . I got a set that was different but if I do keep them , I will get the right ones. They are only a couple $.

Email me for pics. I don't go on here much.

Not in a rush to sell.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

I have projectors with HID bulbs. Came like this used from Japan.

Now having issues with the left side not always coming on. Probably ballast going.

Want to ditch HID setup and put regular H1. I have the stock connectors for the projectors with the 2 pin plug. The H1 bulbs have one pin.

I'm obviously missing something in between to make them work. I believe it's called a socket. Can I get this part locally? Possibly from another car or aftermarket?

Appreciate any information. .

cheers,

Martin
