QUOTE (Nemises @ Oct 1, 2010 - 12:20 PM) *
group hug anyone.

I want to thank Coomer! Without this site I would still be wondering around the internet looking for everything and anything that had to do with celicas. (I think we all have been there b4)

Honorable mention:

Neverstop
Madmods
Doggy
Playa

Wether they know it or not. These guys are the reason I ever kept my celica. It was always motivating to see what these guys were thiinking up.

Everyone should thank tuffy. He has proved there is hope for our slow little cars.

Thanks Nemises,

I had some good times on here. Learned alot, tried alot of new things. I'm still a hardcore car nut, but not being single anymore has really cut into my car time. My celica is still driving around tempe, az somehere. I race gt5 online on nascar alot under madmods. At the moment i am trying to customise my racing rigg.

Honestly the bmw3 look is very tired, and has been overdone for the last 7 years. Take the porsche caymen vents from the rear and stick them into the front fenders. There is only one guy I know that has done this and his name was madmods.

Hey guys,
Good to hear from all of you. Man I learned alot on this forum that I took over to the solstice forum. Like the rest of you we are all hardcore car guys that push the envelope. The vendetta is the new project, and we are still deciding on what chassis to build it on. I am thinking porsche boxer, but the tube frame from the builder is a diablo replica. The motor is a 3800 supercharged which I am going to twincharge. Aim is 550-700hp, though in reality you can not use more then 300hp on the street. For you who do not know the vendetta here it is.
I photoshopped this in red:

looks good in yellow too:

I thought the movie was pretty good. Its already online. The f-bomb and one of the chargers are on sale on ebay. I saw my car in the police impound lot in one scene where Brian is looking to get a car to race lol, then in the next scene with the 3 girls in it. I'm actually in the hummer next to it asking the girl for her number in that scene. What was f-up was that they cut alot of good scenes and some nice cars out of the movie. For example, the camoflauge bmw doing doughnuts loses control and crashes in the crowd. The crash was cut out of the movie. I thought it made a great scene and great stunt. They actually had a driver with a black jumpsuit and ski-mask driving, and the guy hanging out of it acting like he was driving it. You could not see the stunt driver, so it gave the illusion that the guy hanging out of it was driving. There were alot of nice cars there that got no footage. They should have cut out more of the lame fbi/police scenes, and replaced them with car scenes. Well its set up for part 5. I thought the end was so cool. I'm glad I got to be a part of f& f history. When they cast for part 5, we all got to be there.

I just finished with a set of some real cool projectors for my solstice. While you have yours open, add some halos and some audi r8 type leds.

I don't know the specs on mine, but its the bigger one at harbor freight. Use sandblasting sand. Someone told me to use payground sand, and it doesn't work at all. I think I'm using some kind of walnut shell at the moment.

Very nice Jen. Whatever you do, do not do the horrific widebody kit they have for that car. They have some nice kits, lots of them available for the car.

My guess is that its a copy of a copy kit. The kit looks like it wouldn't fit. Body shops are good for pulling out dents and painting. Putting on a kit involves precision. You have to warp fiberglass with a heat gun, remove glass with a dremel, add glass if needed. Its not an easy job. Those sideskirts are great.
I got to wallpaper that job.

I would have kicked the sob in the nuts. I hate cops. I had a off-duty cop try to chase me while I was on my motorcycle. What a joke. He pulls up on my side in some 4-banger and flashes his badge. I flipped him off and the chase was on. I was laughing all the way home. Instead of catching real crooks these morons are always messing with us car guys.

QUOTE (Akimbo @ Sep 1, 2008 - 10:44 PM) *
can you post more pictures? of sets, or anything. your car?

These are from the spanish nightclub scene. It takes place in a miami type nightclub. There are a bunch
of showoff cars, and some ricers in this scene. They were looking for that kinda of look in this scene.
Vin drives up and he's pissed because his girlfriend Letty
was killed by Braga(bad guy). He slams his car door and comes into the club. Everybody is outside watching some
guy ghost riding a camoflauge bmw, and having a party in the club's parking lot. Some people are dancing, etc

.

In this scene, my car is between the two cars with the biggest tv screens. A hummer and a truck. The hummer
is the most badass hummer I have ever seen. 3 girls are standing in my car partying. In between takes, they
passed out blankets because it was so cold for the girls. Shooting night scenes, they shoot all night till
the sun comes up. They were pressed for time that night.

Mr. Saleen was on set. The owner of the gt40 paid big money to have his daughter drive the car down to the race scene.
That race scene consited of a 4-way race using the beemer, chevelle, skyline and silvia. They had about 5 models of each car.
The silvia exploded while filming burnouts for the race. I took some of the broken metal pieces as a piece of history.
The rest of the cars including mine were just bystanders for this race.

your body shops are correct,,, if u do it get the bolt on only... i have an original set that required alot of welding and fabrication.. i did mine eyars ago and was one of the first to do them. ...

Correction soundslut, you were the first. biggrin.gif
Because I was the second. I actually figured out a way to get all lambo kits to open to 90.
Will not give alway the secret though!!!

u like the 90 ? they are talkin about the ones that point straight up.. ?

yea 90 straight up, not to many people have the 90 because they ususally r weld on kits and they have hood clearance problems. Everybody has the 65 degree kit.
