@recneps

well the top-speed of a GT4 is about 260 km/h. the car might go faster but is still limited by gearbox and the 4WD drivetrain. the car do its best acceleration between 0 - 160 km/h. so a 300 PS GT4 can easily outperform a supra in that range, above the supra has much more potential in torque and horsepower... and it has only 2WD smile.gif

yes i passed thomas at 200 km/h infact my car has a larger turbo charger IHI PE1919T and some other mods.

@GT4SUM

upps my fault - i was thinking of the new MR2s weight (1085 kg). you are right 1250 kg is the weight of the old MR2 SW20... smile.gif

damn - so what makes the SW20 so heavy???

i am sorry about the german excursion - just a fast reply...

well - you are right it the car has a FWD. but noone uses the term: "FWHP" so we use the common: "RWHP"... smile.gif

yes that would be nice, but the owner dosen't live in germany so it will be impossible for a side by side drive... frown.gif

smile.gif

but asked a GT4 owner who will getting the clutch out / in! frown.gif

in my opinion the MR2 SW20 is still the best looking car toyota ever build. and with the trubo engine it has great potential on further HP upgrades.

finally the specific weight difference is about 300 kg!!!

on the other hand - the GT4 has a 4WD which helps on traction, but lose on topspeed...

nevertheless - an alternative solution will be buying both cars smile.gif

QUOTE
Did anyone else notice on the gt-4 vs 7th gen video, it says the 7th gen is 240 Rwhp or am i blind?

well because it is a 7th. Gen. CELICA with 1.8 L TURBO KIT.
this guy told us he has 240 RWHP - we couldn't believe that and so we drawn a comparison between a BPU+ GT4 running at 1.15 bar vs. 7th gen celica... both cars in highest gear set.

QUOTE
And to think for a minute there i thought maybe it was just me. Anyway, having a GT4 myself, i find it very difficult to believe that this guy is running at 1.25 bar boost (which normally means 300+bhp)

where did u get the 1.25 bar??? it says 1.15 bar.

well at 1.25 bar your are running not more than 285+ PS / 370 Nm on a "STOCK" ST205 GERMAN SPEC...

there is no way to reach 300 bhp (310 PS) at 1.25 bar with all the stock restrictions (exhaust, intake, egr, etc.)

last year i took my car on a 4WD BOSCH dyno near the NÜRBURGRING and i gained 314 PS at 1.16 bar peak in 5th gear. unfortunately we didn't make a run in 4th gear 1:1 with a higher boost setup. another bad thing was that my clutch has to much spin and so i lost many ponies...

at the same time another guy from england runs 345 PS on 1.25 bar in 4th gear with identical mods. so i am looking forward to get the TRD metal clutch, cover and C1 flyweel in soon... smile.gif
