Hi all, i'm an earlier 6gc breed. Some of ya may remember me, you still around Kwanza? And if Coomer is still in control, place looks good! Anyways, let me get to the point. Some of the older members may remember, I had a gorgeous un-touched white 98 celica gt. However, I lost it. No I didn't wreck it, I actually wrecked my dad's jeep. So, being a responisible person, I gave him the car and took the jeep in return. Anyways, since then, I have gotten married and i'm still driving my 96 twice-rolled jeep. Almost everyday of driving, I would think, dang, I miss my car. Automobile depression........UNTIL NOW. I have always wanted one car since I was 7 years old (when my dad started teaching me mechanics), and last sunday, I found it. I present to you my 1968 Chevy Chevelle Malibu.... Photobuck 1968 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Album These are Samsung Delve Phone pictures, so they ain't great, ain't bad. The power house is a 454 LS6 off of a drag racing boat (rebuilt 60 miles ago), running the power through a freshly rebuilt 400 turbo trans. Brand new exhaust, tires, and wheels. Included is a complete all-wheel disc breaks set, and other restoration parts. Anyways, I have my dream car (I figured I would be 50 to 60 years old before I had a chance) and no more automobile-depression... Thanks for looking, and if any better quality pictures are wanted or other information just for the heck of it, let me know. Rock on 6GC, Spunky393 |

Hey everybody, I'm a really old member, havn't been around for a long time, but I thought about this site when I had this question. Can anybody give me an extremely detailed explanation of memory? What I really want to know is what happens if you install more memory than what your computer says it can handle? Does it screw up the bios or what? How can I over-clock it if that'll fix it, etc. etc. Thanks for the help. |

I have been sitting here at school, getting bored as crap, and thought hey. I'll go see how everybody is doing. I see everybody has finally talked coomer into showcasing his ride, it's been 3 years now, almost 4. I don't recognize a lot of people, i'm sure nobody really recognizes me either, oh well. Hi coomer, haha, and everyone else. Glad to see the site is still kickin |

I need a printable and reliable source of the laws of LEGALLY recording a conversation. I know the simple stuff about having consent from all parties and stuff, or you can't hide the audio recording device. BUT, i need something that i can print out and take to this meeting tomorrow (10:00 a.m. (GMT -06:00 Central time)) and tell them, hey, i can legally record this (because i'll be by myself tomorrow). Basically, my fiancee's family and I are in a big legal issue agianst the business i work for, i will fill you all in later. But please please, help! 6gc Ghost -Spunky |

My head is fine, i'll just never forgive my dad for doing that. It isn't my fault there was almost 6 feets of snow on the ground. And heck, he's the one that taught me to be a nice guy. |

Well, basically, it has been a long long time since i have been on 6gc.net, I apologize for that. I hope everything is going smooth and nobody has sent a letter bomb to another member out of anger. Anyways, thought i would drop in and say hello to the old buddy's, Coomer, Kwanza, etc. etc. From just skimming, i see that a lot of celi's are biting the dust. Oh well. Well, here is my story about the great white celi. No, i didn't wreck it (now come on people), no, somebody didn't t-bone me (did you see in the paper's that somebody died from a tire-iron-swinging-mad-man, no, i didn't think so), no, it wasn't stollen (havn't been any crazy sniper reports in the papers, , what are you talking about, it wasn't me), actually, my celi, this has nothing to do with it, because i don't own it anymore. and for last, NO, i didn't sell it. I'm sure everyone heard and saw the news about the huge snow-storm that came through the mid-west and left a freaking 4-6 foot blanket. Well, my happy-a$$ woke up the morning after that hit and was ready to go hunting, vehicle of choice, dad's 1996 Jeep Cherrokee Country Edition 4.0 HO. So, I wait for my uncle to clear grandma's drive with the tractor, and i decide to go get some coffee. Long behold, as i'm driving out of the gas station, i noticed a guy carrying a huge bag in his hand. I stopped and asked if he wanted a ride into town, he said he abandoned his car 4 miles down i-72 under a over-pass. Being the nice guy that i am, i decided to give him a ride. So, i get him to his car, pull him out of the little bit of snow that was plowed into him (by the way, this is the morning after, like i said, and only 1 piddly lane had been plowed through I-72, it was so slick and tiny that the semi-company's told the semi-drivers to stay put at the truck-stop). He takes off, and i get situated and get going my self, i'm driving 4Lo (for you jeep owners out there you know why and what that is), i'm going along, fairly slow, and all the sudden my front right tire cetches the lip of the snow that was plowed. I do ONE 180 so fast it wasn't funny, and it was fast enough that when my driver side tires hit the lip, i started flipping, not once, not twice, but three times, and full flips at that. Went from Wheels down, to top, to wheels, to top, to wheels, to top, to wheels, landing in 6 feet of snow. Here is where it gets better. I had my driver side windows open (i was smoking), and after i stopped rolling, i $hit you not, i had so much snow inside my jeep, i couldn't see the steering wheel my hands were holding on to. So basically to make a long long long story short, well, shorter, the roof had caved in far enough to hit my head and give me a small concusion, but that's all (It's a Jeep Thing ). After calling my dad and telling him all the details, here is the responce i get. "Well, looks like you Fuc*ing screwed up agian, and this time, because you wrecked my jeep, i am taking your toyota, (click)" So, that's that. Meaning, i moved out very quickly to pittsfield illinois to live in the same town as my fiancee, an hour away from home - not far enough, and i struck lucky and got accepted and hired to be a manager at S.S.S. oil company (they own all the jiffy stops in springfield illinois, st. louis missouri, and everything inbetween). Anyways, what's new around here? 6gc Ghost -Spunky |

you can save it to online playlists, just not to your computer (that's how it is supposed to work anyways). So far, i have got it to let me save 1 song to my "fav. oldies" playlist. Oh yeah, if you don't know how to do this, just register and it saves your playlist (if you can get it to save music) to your username and password. good find, later |

On the post up there about oil pressurizing time, i was taught: after changing your oil (oil and filter), to always click the key to on once (for like 5-10 seconds), then off, then start the car. I don't know if a/t are any different, but with the m/t, by turning the key to on, your oil and fuel pump is running....I think, hahahaha |

just look at your car manual, da. I drive A LOT of highway miles, and i am VERY aggresive (city some, country-roads a lot). I'm pretty sure i've been touching 22 mpg or so on 87. I did have an exaust leak (the ass-end weld of the flex pipe seperated/broke) and i was experiencing 16-18 mpg, 90 % highway (75-80 mph). So yeah, i feel like my post is pointless, oh well, good luck. |

one thing about naps is the fact to supply anything to your body, you must nap for at LEAST 30 minutes. I can try to find the scientifical fact if you want. That coffee thing sounds ok, and oh yea, DO NOT take and get hooked on caffine pills, they're aweful for the human body. |

not to jack the thread, however, i was watching the gaming revolution, beginning to present. The biggest thing i got out of the whole show was the fact that microsoft lost 4 million the first year and more every year on company profit sense the first xbox came out. Ouch...Sony has done nothing but profit from the point nintendo screwed them over and went to panasonic (spelling). Hopefully we'll see a new upcoming with the Wii. Happy gaming spunky393 |

You guys are freaking idiots, telling me to grow up? How many people that posted in this topic saying "i want this and that" could actually get the money to get "this and that." And also, like my first post says, i was surprised that no-one even had the idea of a scam. Now, my idiot comment, if you read my second and third post, you will notice that there does happen to be a degree of sarcasm. Now get off my back and try to figure out how much extra money you're going to be spending on a loan, on fix-its, and how in the world are you going to be able to pay off the whole loan, are you moving into a house soon, are you still in college, kids, marriage, etc? etc? Granted, if one had money, and lots of it, one could do what one wants. But come-on. 6gc Ghost Spunky393 |

QUOTE(soulshadow @ Nov 12, 2006 - 8:54 PM) It bogs really bad if you don't pre-gap your sparkplugs yourself or check them and make sure you didn't buy BOSCH they suck. I have Bosch +4's and love them. Never had any problem with them. How many test did you do on Bosch plugs before you labeled them as "suck"???? Anyways....sorry that none of that helped. Did you take all 4 out and turn the engine over with the gas pedal all the way down? (the lighter thing sounds like a ok thing to try). |

after flooding an engine, if it is as bad as a case as you have made it, then there is only two things you can really do. First, take out all the spark plugs and turn the engine over a couple times (this will shoot a lot of the gas (in gas form) into the air. Second, after spark plugs are dry (and cleaned off with a wire brush, unless they are just really dry), actually, if it has been a while, replace your spark plugs and wires (check your distributor too). THEN when you go to start the car, hold the gas pedal all the way down to the floor. This tells the cpu to shut off the injectors and try to start. However, you can try the end of step two first. (THEN when you go to start the car, hold the gas pedal all the way down to the floor. This tells the cpu to shut off the injectors and try to start.) Well, good luck 6gc ghost Spunky |
