Currently have it listed on eBay, since I don't frequent here anymore. Its in good shape overall, and the bid starts @ $55+shipping. I sold my Celica last year, and had a few spare parts lying around.

Hey all,
I sold my Celica convertible last fall and have been clearing out some remaining parts. I actually acquired some spare convertible top latches in case mine ever broke again... I also found out just how hard they are to find laugh.gif

I have 3 for sale.

*EDIT* - Listing on EBAY now. Sorry guys, not enough interest. :-(

unfortunately most members here dont like convertibles, why, because IDK

they all want hatches for swapping or modding.

looks clean, hope you sell it. I already have one...

Thanks for the kind words and free bump! Its unfortunate that nobody wants a convertible... this thing is so clean, and I know it will make somebody very happy.

I haven't updated this thread in a little while, but I reduced the price to $5500obo.
She now has about 1000 more miles on her, but with a fresh oil & filter change (full synthetic of course).

Though I don't expect I'll find anyone on a celica forum, I should mention that I'd also be willing to trade for a small SUV or small truck, in similar condition. Must be auto for my wife... I can add cash to sweeten the deal if the car is right. I'm specifically looking for (in order of preference):
Honda Element, or maybe a CRV
Any Subaru with an H6
Toyota Matrix
Toyota Truck
Mazda B series pickup w/ 4x4
Maybe others?

Thanks again,
Ben

Hey all, can anyone help with this one? I’m looking for a driver’s side low-beam headlight assembly for a 98 Celica GT (6th gen) in good condition (no broken tabs). Sometimes I find one in a junkyard, but its rare and they’re always broken. frown.gif Looking for a price shipped to 18052, or willing to pick up local if anyone has one in Eastern PA near Allentown.

Hey all,

I figured I'd introduce myself, and more importantly, the new (to us) car. Its a White 1998 Toyota Celica GT Convertible with 107k miles. I've been doing some research and forum searching, and it looks like this is an excellent forum to be a part of. Ultimately, I have some questions-- I'm not new to working on cars, nor convertibles, but I am certainly new to working on a Toyota-- I usually deal in VWs and occasionally Hondas and GM (mostly for friends). I've searched and found answers to a few of my problems already, but there are a couple that I feel would be worth mention in this thread. Besides, I dont want to be a complete troll smile.gif. The car is for the wifey, and there are a few things I need to do before it is drivable on a daily basis.

Biggest problem: The rear window on the convertible top blew in right before we bought the car. The previous owner went through an automated car wash and the drying blowers blew the rear window in rolleyes.gif I've been attempting to glue it in using 3M window weld as I saw some do on corvette forums.

Also, it has the premium 8 speaker audio system and the front 8" woofers are blown, and the rear speakers are blown too. I'll have to find a solution to that. I suppose I'll have to do some searching for a decent 8" woofer.

The rear passenger side quarter window seems to not seal properly. It angles toward the front of the car when it reaches its peak movement, which puts it at a weird angle that wont seal. Can this be adjusted?

The driver's side front window seems to catch and fall about an inch when first putting it down. I'm assuming the regulator may need adjustment or replacement. Are the regulators between the coupes and convertibles the same? That would be awesome.

The power antenna works, but grinds for a few seconds when it reaches the top of its movement.

valve cover gasket leaks, and the Trans fluid is a bit brown, but not burnt. no biggie, hopefully.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on a factory service manual?

Pictures!
