QUOTE(DeW_H0e_GT @ May 20, 2006 - 11:57 AM)

is it the exact part as its in the parts database???..if it is how com eit wont fit in your 6gc???....it syas it fits all years no matter coupe/hatach/vert.......any printings on the bar????

if its the same part..plz quote me on a price shipped to fl 32935

you know you're right it does say it is suppose to fit the at200 model which is what i had, but no it did not fit.
though it looks exactly like that pic in the link. i mean i guess it's possible they sent me the wrong one, because after months of having it i finally had the chance to try to install it and i never saw it lining up to anything. unless i was tryin to install it incorrectly or something which i doubt. really i dont think im that dumb to not figure out how to install it. so dont count on taking advantage of my stupidity, i really think it's not applicable to the 6gc. my plan was to fabricate a couple of brackets and use it as a rear strut tower bar. but of course i never got the chance.

so as i turns out. i'm willing to basically give this one away, make you bests' offers and its yours for just those couple dollars plus shipping.

QUOTE (raz128 @ Sep 22, 2004 - 2:14 AM)
i got the clunking in mine too. Mine occured when the struts had to come out when i uprated them to the KYB's. I'm thinking that it's the springs not sitting properly.

As for the clicking on the brakes, this is a common problem on the celica's where the pads do not sit 100% properly in the calipers.

"clunkity clunk clunk"
strut mounts anyone??

i work at toyota, and as far as ive read into, and correct if im worng, no one has yet to mention the possibility or strut mounts. when a strut mount goes bad, it becomes increasingly obvious with time. in the begginings, you will just barely notice clunking in the morning or when its cold. after too long, you will hear them over every bump. to check them you can have someone jounce the car up and down while you feel the top of the strut nut. if it hops up and down excissively and and you can tell the diffrence as if it were a new car... bingo.

in this guys case with the post new KYB strut installation noise, its possible the installer did not sit the strut mount properly aligned onto the strut grooves. that happens alot.

strut mounts tend to go bad typically around 100K miles or so.

hope this helps.
