you have a HUGE vacum issue.

When you use your PS the engine rev's up to compensate for the pressure differentiation.

dont toy around searching for the leak, go to your local auto parts store and get some snazy colored vac lines (kit) they r like 25$ and you can replace al your current vac lines, do them 1 at a time. also check your map sensor

Thanks for the help i will look into this wink.gif

Can i have some help here guys?......the revs on my st205 drop off down to zero whenever i brake hard or change gear and more often than not the car ends up stalling......even when not in gear if i rev up to 3000 rpm and then release the pedal the revs crash below tick over and then bounce back to tick over again sometimes causing car to stall....its getting quite dangerous now and the car hunts a lot sometimes when waiting at junctions or traffic lights??.....and again goes low enough to cut engine out??.......if i turn my wheel slightly (power steering ) this tends to steady out the revs???......any solutions please?

Can anyone help me out here?.....

I have a quite heavily modded ST205 with a twin plate ATS carbon fibre clutch every time i dip the clutch the revs plummit and the engine cuts out or almost cuts out....this happens when slowing down for traffic lights and is now becoming more of a danger as well as being embarassing and absolute pain in the ass.......even if stationary i dip the clutch the revs will drop quite a lot....once i am up and running i can go thru gears no problem....this always happens as i am slowing down to stop or i am trying to park going very slow.....any ideas please what could be causing this?......my car has had a complete new engine rebuild with high spec parts..no cat....3inch pipe front to back... bigger turbo ....all internals including crank...rods are TTE parts still using standard cams though... bigger injectors etc upgraded fuel pump ......induction kit (HKS) and Blitz super sound dump valve also fitted amongst other upgraded bits n bobs.....still using original alternator also the clutch is noisy as hell when the pedal is dipped.....loud like scrapping noise...been told this is normal for twin plate carbon fibre but have also been told it aint normal??.......does sound rough though but seems to work no probs apart from the cutting out business.

Any help much appreciated

The only obvious thing that comes to mind is that it enables the exhaust gases to escape much faster because of the volume??the construction could be a factor aswell we are talking TTE here and because we are talking about the celicas/Mr2 then the restrictions/baffle plates of the corolla don,t mean a thing!.............maybe your better speaking to the guys that have used these pieces of kit...fensport might be a good start?..........i,ll post couple more pics over the weekend....as far as a price goes i,m waiting on a serious offer and then i,ll decide whether or not to sell...The price of this manifold will go up as the days go by pretty much the same as buying group 'A' parts which are becoming hard to come by nowadays .....i have already been offered £500 by an Mr2 owner and declined and am thinking of putting on ebay to see what offers i get but there will be a reserve in there!

Because this manifold was taken off the rally machine and was not included in the road cars....thats why it is so rare now......by fitting to the st205 it does allow more flowrate(when pushing the big power).............this piece of kit is the buisness if u want to use 500-600 bhp.....Not sure on restrictor plates??? and we are talking 3sgte celica/mr2 engines here anyway!.....Their is necessity when you want big power...the flange side is shown on the pic i took....fensport used to sell these parts when they first removed from the WRC,s.....and i,m pretty sure they are using them on high powered beasts they have moulded .....

Guys,
Just want to clear up some things here.....this manifold gives a far higher flow rate of exhaust gases then the standard ST205 manifold, so if your motor is producing high BHP then this is the baby you will need to maximise your cars potential!.....the standard manifold has a limit on the amount of flow it allows through and once maximised then thats all your gna get through it........obviously cos this TTE manifold was used on the corolla rally cars this is the kit for greater gains!!!.....the silver looking pipes were used on the corolla as part of anti lag set up!...these are not used with the ST205 and can be cut off or just left unused.........thats it in a nut shell really!

is it the inconel one? looks like the 2nd gen flange to me..

It fits onto the st205 or the mr2 turbo.....fensport used to sell them not anymore cos they are practically extinct!!!

i got this problem b4 at first i thought its a wheel alignment..took me the whole day a re-align but didnt work also..anyway its rather simple.

take off ur steering wheel & hub... you will see the indicator cancellor (its the white round thing, try to turn the signal and u will see.) and realignment it to the middle then put on ur hub and steering wheel
that should fix it smile.gif

Everything is alligned correctly all the grooves in the correct slots etc.....when the wheel and boss are removed i can switch on indicators then manually turn the collar with my hand to cancel the indication...just when the wheel and boss kit are on the car and are in as far as possible and as i say married up correctly it will not cancel inds........momo uk say its common problem with import gt4 using their bosses but i,m just getting other peoples ideas on the topic and to see if similar probs have arisen with momo wheels or similar....thanks

Hi there guys,

i,ve rercently fitted a genuine momo steering wheel along with the correct momo boss kit on my jap import st205....the wheel looks and works fine but i now have a rather biggish gap around the boss/dash...and also my indicators fail to cancel out when i turn full lock.....i,ve spoken to momo and they reckon it,s normal because of the car being non uk and import model...apparently uk spec gt4,s are fine with same wheel etc??..anyone out there had similar problems?......is it something that can be fixed or do i just take it thats price to pay for owning import model!......thanks Guys any help appreciated.

i havea 96 too so urs probably same as mine.
this is how i did mine.

1. take the screw underneath the steering wheel off.
2. pull the horn button (face) out
3. un screw the hexagon screw. and the steering wheel should come right off.

hope that helps.

edit: typo

Cheers mate i,ll give it a go and see what happens!

Hi there,
Can someone please put me out of my misery and suggest a good set of 18" rims that will fit straight onto my ST205 without the need for spacers....I know that the calipers are huge on the front set but surely someone out there makes a wheel to fit........I also need the name of a supplier prefebly in the Northwest UK as that is where i,m from......so any offers of advice welcome cos i,m getting a bit miffed now.
Thanks Ian.
