Hey, I have a 96 celica st 1.8l have had it for about maybe 2.5 years now, my car wen you disconnect battery wen u goto reconnect it the alarm goes off and to turn it off u have quickly run into car and put key in ignition.. wen I bought the car I was never given a remote nor told car was equipped with an alarm. The anti theft light isnt in my car either... but I decided go digging last night after connecting battery on again and it going off as usual and I found the shock sensor and all but no main box I think I have located it but no sure since its under the dash, i found the shocker device and where control shock level but it has plug which looks like plugs into a plastic black box ziptied to black vent...

we have a 94 celica gt as well which has alarm too but that was has factory remote and has the light as well.. and his control box is under the driver seat.. I will post pics of wat I found...

My question is wat do I do I want to get a clicker for it I have an old keyfob clicker from an old 03 sienna that I found in junkuard but every programming step I try I cant even get car going into programming mode...

Maybe im not finding correct link for it.. does anyone know correct sequence to program a remote.. and is it possible remote I have could work? And also even if no clicker is there away get it alarm to automatically turn on even without clicker and just use the key disarm it..

I will add pics as soon as I get on laptop..

It is going to be a little while before I can really help with anything in the fundage sense, I'd be cutting it close just coming. Though I truly want to help...maybe I can just grab some rolls or soda's or some shiz.

Not the normal, just moving, and is requiring first, last and deposit...in the excess of 2 grand =P

I know that pain I'm trying move myself, but ya if u can't really help in funds there's always other ways helping.. setting up. And cooking hahaha but deff try come wen its all organized even if u can't contribute as much its all about having fun having a day just be free

Okay we just bought this 95 celica gt, 2.2l runs amazing as crap but lately now every morning temp outside like 75and higher it won't crank over... And when it does it sounds rough wants to stall and if u give it a little gas it begins to back fire badly.. but after like 3 mins car warms up and idles fine runs great, and u can turn it off and on all u want just dnt let the car sit for about 6 hours because then same issue happens

Well I got it cranked, I spliced a wire to the positive to a switch to the battery directly, so yup smile.gif but.... frown.gif

It has a rod knocking frown.gif hmmm I was hoping that's all I was gonna have to do get it on road but guess not kindasad.gif but okay so now I need rods because I do have an 5sfe engine rebuild kit for it but the only thing it has for lower end is.. gaskets piston heads and bearings, and rings but no rods frown.gif

Okay, previously I posted my girls car wouldn't crank over,

well It still won't crank over by key, but thanks to my buddy I ran a. Direct wire from the starter's positive wire to battery through a switch , it cranked over right away so that's good news but...

I heard something that made me facepalm myself.... I knew starter was to easy to get this car on the road once more... It has a rod knocking.. I have a engine rebuild kit for her car, had it in my garage for few months now...

It came wit new piston rings bearing and heads but no rods.

I got the car for free, originally my brotther bought it as a shell to transfer body parts to his gt and my st for 300, we never once tried crank it... I then got the car and give it to my fiance since we were told it only need alternator starter and distributor and tranny (I also had spare tranny for it and alternator) but it turned out to be more than we thought... So on that note where should I begin? Should I go from the bottom end just replace pistons and bearings and slap it in? Or should I dreadfully tear it apart and rebuild it from ground up with the rebuild kit I have? I kinda do need car on road asap now that her last car is gone...

Also where can I get piston rods?? I dnt have much money frown.gif

Its a 95 celica gt 2.2 5sfe
