Some of you may remember me. Most of you probably dont. This was my Celi before it got totalled. Unfortunately she got parked under an escalade, and I moved into the Dub comunity. Moved to New Hampshire and I had tons of left over money on each pay check (who knew living in California was so damn expensive ) So I started spending money on getting every thing I wanted. Some poke, some stretch, bought Corvette Saw Blades and stretched some smaller tires to give it the Euro look and feel. The JTI has ended in a sad story that shouldnt be gotten into. (its a bit touchy) so i decided to sell the saw blades tires and adapters. As soon as I posted them on VWVortex I recieve a call from a local that wanted my wheels in trade for a car. So I did. It wouldnt start, had a jump wire from the starter to the batery. Bought a $12 dollar ignition switch and it started right up. The Cabriolet is my new project. Done a little bit to it so far with lots of plans. refinishing these: to this: (The grey GTI is my girlfriends, she loves them both. lol) Got coilovers, a single round grill, and chrome door mouldings instead of the hideous black rubber (with dry rot) waiting for spacers to throw on the Panasports. and being an idiot. So the woman and I were talking and we decided to get rid of the 3rd vehicle (98 ford ranger) in favor of some JDM goodness. We narrowed it to 2 options. 1: Early 90's 240 fast back 2: 6th gen Celica Tossing around the ideas, and living in New England we figured front wheel drive would be best because it would end up being driven in the winter time and the Celica was the choice. (which made me completely happy to get back into something I loved) So heres the deal. Red, White, or black (havent decided color yet) 5 speed, and GT. Preferably 94-95 pre facelift (and easier to do my choice of motor swap ) Got lots of plans to mix my previous JDM styling influences with my love of Dub/European styling. I'll be back soon with more updates. EDIT: I posted this a while back http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...mp;#entry516922 (just for reference ) |

lol no. it isnt exactly a chip. a chip in old school talk is an actuall computer chip with little prong on the bottom that you replace blah blah blah. new technology. it is a software upload. expensive too. reprograms fuel boost timing. and the camera is OLD school olympus 3.2 MP the C-3020 |

thanks. the celi was nice for a while. till she died. trying to get the GTI show ready for this year. big shows commin up. VW specific. The performance is great. i love it. the intake wasnt a gain (noticable) made the turbo and diverter valve sound louder. more of a pshh when in boost and changing gears, or letting off the gas. the got the chip after that, made a HUGE difference. i was i need of exhaust, got the 3 inch turbo back and it was a huge gain as well. intercooler piping, i noticed a bit in response. i love the car basically. |

Well it has been forever, for those of you who dont know i totalled the celica at the beginning of the year. bought an 03 VW GTI 1.8t in july or august-ish and have modded it since. I swapped front ends with a jetta. which is the most obvious. Black textured rub strips. European rear bumper. and painted front and rear valences. Performance wise. I got it chipped. 3" turbo back, no cat no resonator. cold air intake. upgraded intercooler piping, upgraded diverter valve. and that is all i can think of.. lowered it a bit. what do you guys think? |

yeah service around here is great. the mechanic at the local vee dub sales place is a member of our car club and hooks every one up. he puts a bunch of **** on warranty that really shouldnt be. and he has a seriously quick turn around for any problems that come his way. so its nice to know people in the right places. he is actually selling his R32 bumpers for pretty cheap, same color as my car, thinking about picking them up from him. we'll see. |

yeah that was a pretty sick ride. Im deffinately getting a chip. Probably a revo not sure which one though. with the chip im going to get a 3" dp and then get a custom 3" cat back made. got a ram air intake from a buddy. so things are in motion. one of my friends is selling his GTI but is getting rid of his suspension. he is getting my stock stuff, the coils on his car are going to my roomie and the suspension on my roomies GTI goes to me. so every one gets a deal. im looking at about a 2" drop over all. not too bad. i wish i could keep the celi but i have no where to put it. oh and i might have some stuff to sell. i will have to take a look. im thinking maybe door panels, side skirts. if any one needs something e mail me at Mach6nv@hotmail.com i dont get on here much, but i check my email daily. Well, I havent been on in a very long time... And the last post i had said i was going to rebiuld my celica after my stupid accident. But insurance totaled her. I dont want to go through the hassle of buying it back and having a salvaged title. so i bought a newer car. 03 VW GTI 1.8T. Its a nice car. Couple of my buddies own GTI's and they converted me. after driving my best friends 1.8 it was all over. So i went and got my self one. here's some pics. I'll still float around here cause the celica was my first love. |

Ladies and gents. The process to rebuild has begun. Not sure when i will have all the parts but the parts being pieced together are as follows. JDM Projectors, highs and lows Stock Front bumper with the Zyclone lip on VIS's website (silver wit the center of the lip black for any one who is interested in looking at it) Havent decided whether to go with the Vader hood or back with the c-one knock off (i love the c one knock off) Bullet Fenders Forgot what the sides were called but i THINK they are the boomer sides.... i think they are on JAWS car and i havent decided what to do with the rear. not sure what would flow with that set up. I would LOVE to get the Arising II rear bumper but im not sure if i can get just the rear. any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. Roboito P.S. thank you Jen for the kind words :-D mine was my favorite on the site too, but thats cause it was mine. lol |

well, some are i think, and the importand one isnt. the bumper is done. i had a cone knock off, but that is no big deal, the high beams are broken, no big deal. turn signals no big deal. the upper support bar is bent. a little bit of a big deal. then comes my Carbon fiber C one knock off hood. unrepairable. cracked split, spider webbed, the hood pin got yanked out. it is toast. |

Ladies and Gentlemen. Another celica has been injured. Yesterday at approximately 3:15 PM Pacific time a light turned green, and three cars in front of my started to go. the car in front of the escilade in front of me hit its brakes. the escilade hit its brakes. my flip flop got stuck and i couldnt hit my brakes. there wasnt much damage done to the escilade, but the front end of the celi is ruined. i will take pictures shortly and post them. i am devistated. |

i have a large tribal scorpion on my left shoulder blade. no one would ever see it if i was working.. unless my shirt was transparent. i havent worked any where that allows tank tops at work so another way of it never being seen at work. i personally think anything below the neck line and above the elbows is fine, because most of the work environments (for men) require that you at least wear a short sleeved shirt. some times collard some times not. but yeah if you want to stay profssional and still have your tattoo's general rule of thumb is about the elbows below the neck line PEACE |

virginia was pretty cool. my buddies brother told me to come back any time i wanted. the drive from his house to richmond, va wasnt a bad one. it was nice having an iPod nano to listen to. i am pretty sick though. i think i relapsed into strep throat. i feel like shiet. but any way we went from richmond, va through maryland and into pennsylvania tonight. i am in york right now and we will be in reading tomorrow morning. i am pretty exciting. "the state of independance" i called a couple of my friends and prettended to be alex trebec on jeapordy "Choose your category, 'alex i'll have state motto's for 1000.' here's your question; which state motto is "the state of independance" 'uhhh what is pennsylvania' that is correct" hehe im a freaking dork. any way i will be "home" tomorrow so if any of you eastern-ers want to give me a call and hang out i am officially here. i am going to keep my same cell number so if you guys want to call it is some where in this thread. and here it is again 775-846-4042. any way i really should be off, there are no cat 5 connections in the rooms ehre and the wireless is too weak to get a signal up on the 5th floor, so i am on the computer in the lobby, pretty archaic. windows 98 with a P3 woo hoo. alrighty ladies and gents.
