I plan on repalcing the roof of my car this fall, and would like to incorporate as many improvements along the way as I can. The only part of the frame I know is compromised is the leading edge that clamps to the windshield. I'll consider buying a whole frame if price and accessibility permit. Also looking for roof/window seals, rear power window parts, and a new trunk release assembly. I'm in the Indianapolis area now, but willing to travel 100-150 miles for stuff i need. Use zip code 46201 for any shipping estimates. |

I bought two 1999 GT convertibles a year ago - 1 red, 1 white. Previous owner started restoring the white one, even installed a new roof by himself. He originally bought the red one for parts, but restored it instead leaving the white near complete. I've had a great year with the red one, and left the white in storage. Previous owner said the white runs, but I haven't done anything with it. I'm relocating in a couple months, and don't have the space or tools to part it out properly. Interior is dirty but intact - no cracks in dash or interior panels. ext. needs front end rebuilt (hood/bumper/lights). I took pics today, and can send on request. Any takers? |

I agree! i was thinking this and searching around for some... also, what would be the cause of a small puddle in the trunk.... i noticed it when i opened it up last night getting gas on the way home from buying her. it was raining pretty good. is there a normal leak area or just mine. ha I have the same issue with my '99. I think the wet trunk might be connected to water in the "hammock" that the roof folds into. The leak in mine is probably around my rear window. some verts have a drain line at the bottom of the hammock, but not mine. let me know what happens with yours. |

I bought my '99 convertible justover a year ago. The previous owner was an enthusiast who recccomended this site. I love my car. I've wanted a 6th gen since they came out (I was driving an 89 convertible at the time) The seller was glad to know he was selling to someone like-minded, and along with a reasonable purchase price, offered a gift with purchase: another '99 convertible. While I love the idea of having a "donor car" salted away for the duration, I'm getting ready to relocate, and need to sell or part out. I'll also be selling a '97 avalon 4dr just before moving. I live near Fresno, so I'm in the exact middle of nowhere, as opposed to the far end. Anyone interested? I'm asking $2000 for the donor car; it has a new roof, and runs, but lacks a hood & front bumper/headlight ferring. |

I have a set of Jdm tail lights with the wiring and all. The bulbs work pretty much plug and play. Pics following soon. Any takers? Was looking for $180 + shipping. There are no cracks, dents, nothing good condition. If interested you can still always shoot me a best offer as well. Also i have a lambo door kit that is used that i had installed on my now ex wifes celica need to get them out of my storage as well. Make me a offer. Pics to come. I'm interested in door kit if it is compatible with my '99 gt convertible. Any info you have on kit (brand, part#) that I can check from my end will help me make an offer. |

My '97 did the same thing today, neither motor makes noise and the damn "fasten seat belt" light stays on; WTF little car!? Did you ever find a solution? I found out (the hard way) that overloading the trunk for a road trip can put pressure on the back wall, which can trigger the shutoff switch for power top. I'd only had the car a couple weeks when it happened. Any guides for window switch replacement? Previous owner replaced a rear window switch, but installed it upside down. |
