QUOTE ah i forgot to answer that part! all I have is a cat and a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator on it. Ahh it sounds alot quieter than id expect from a car with no muffler lol If only my coupe looked as good as your hatch love your car +1 car looks fantastic and sounds great! thanks! once it is back on its feet im going to take some better video. some of the inside too. my friend got a go-pro and we havent been able to use it yet. with the temperature dropping its getting difficult to go out for photoshoots and to take video Yeah I hear you about the teperature, its brutal. Im getting my car back on its feet and letting it recover from a blown headgasket repair. But Im trying to find good full pics of the undercarriage of our cars to sketch some ideas for exhaust but its hard to find. And I cant really get a pic of mine just cuz ive been working the past couple of days at the shop and have schhol and stuff like that |

While I guess that would be theoretically possible, that much titanium would be prohibitively expensive (we're talking tens of thousands of dollars) and wouldn't actually do anything for strength. Pure titanium is only about as strong as steel, but it's much lighter. Why would you want to strengthen an automatic transmission? I assume drag racing? Otherwise the E153 is a incredibly strong manual transmission, and it bolts right on. Mainly because its more precise shifting and swaps arent looking to be in my favor, and I had a feeling of as much with the titanium. Like I said, sounded cluegy. but are there parts in the auto trans that could be strengthened for if I wanted to lets say turbo on low boost? and how much can the auto withstand naturally out of the box? |

That exhaust sounds awesome! is it straight piped or is there a muffler somewhere? and it looks really good with that diffuser! was thinking that center exhaust kind of concept as well, also was thinking of dual exit but you put it all in one, is it just a Y pipe at the end where it comes to the diffuser? and my sister's SC got a hairline crack like that, we just got an epoxy kit with some kind of cloth (cant remember off the top of my head) and found it at napa. You could use it as an excuse to get an aluminum rad too lol EDIT: yeah think it was the JB Weld, it seems to be working pretty well with her car, she hasnt called about it losing coolant and smoking anymore and its been a month or so but deff temporary, the things dying so it doesnt matter, but let its poor soul rest in peace, its had a tough run |

So my motor for my stock antenna died and they said with a discount from the shop it still around $300 so I scrapped that idea. Have a couple questions before I buy this antenna: 1) what glue works best for this? 2) do you remove the old motor? and if you do, what do you connect the old wires to? 3) what do you do with the water drainage line? |

you are reinventing the wheel, get the ebay header and call it a day ^^ This ^^ You're not going to see any significant gains in the 5S without going turbo... even if you wanted to keep it NA - there'll be more work and cost involved than just swapping out a 3SGTE. Dreams are good, but a lot of the time they're just that... dreams. But the fact this is my only means of transport, I cant afford to have my car of the road again. I dont doubt that those could be a better option, but I just have no way of doing it, and I'd like to see what this engine can do, ive heard of people getting these to 180HP. Im trying to break away from what the norm has become which is engine swaps because I just dont have more than this car to drive around. If I did I would find a way to get it done. someone pm'd me talking about how they are only of the only people in minnesota that has done this swap and they would guide me thru it, I have none of the equipment to do this, I have the time, and if I sold this car I would have the money, but I would lose the money on the head gasket repair. im at a loss in that and the other cars ive looked into just havent hooked me like the 6th gen celica did. |

whats your plans?! I want to obtain balance of power and torque with handling and clean styling (maybe eyelids? thought it may look good but may jus leave the exterior untouch except for tailights) off the NA 5s-fe, mainly because this is my first car and first build so I dont have skill to take on a turbo project (nor do the people around me) but also I find pride working with want you get and working with that setup and try to really breaks the restrictions off the car to really see what its capable of when you break the chains and let it loose |
