Wow i dont think i've been on here in like a year! But I read about a Tercel with a 4efte (JDM Starlet Motor 135hp Turbo) with 175hp with just bolt on's (intake exhaust, intercooler, piping, turbo timer, boost controller), and he had a stage 2 clutch, light weight fly wheel, and 15's wheels with drag radials wrapped around them, and he was running in the high 13's!! And apartently the 4efte is direct bolt in motor (same mounts).

Anyways i thought it was pretty neat. Nearly 2000lb car. Car is like $1500-2000 for a early 90's, you can get the motor imported for around $1200, and some good tire/wheels and a few bolt on's it'll be in the 13's!

Just thought you guys might be interested in hearing about it, i hadn't really ever noticed the tercel before i read about this one.

shush^^^^^^^

as for the starter of the topic, i'd say put money into the suspension like jcgreening said for more fun to drive, then go with a engine swap or turbo kit if you want it to go fast

went out to the "meet" i guess you could call it, its just a bunch of ricers and a few fast and nice cars thrown in meet up at around midnight and just hang out in the parking lot for a few hours... but last night was different, for the first time i saw a few really nice cars i hadn't seen before (dont get me wrong theres always some nice ones out there), heres some of the cars

acura nsx, intake, headers, and exhaust (guy said he could only get a 14.3 1/4 im not sure if he knows how to shift)

67 mustang with a 302 (may of been a 305) stroker, wouldn't tell what else, had some drag radials that were like 15" wide

lexus is300, nicest car i've ever seen in person, ahha, complete turbo kit, said its bored over, new head, forged internals, boosting at 11psi that night, said he's had it at 22psi but that was on 101octane, has a 55shot of nitrous, has jdm altezza stuff on it i think like tails, and logos and such, ran a 12.5 1/4 at 11psi with out nitrous, said when he gets a new transmission going to run at around 20psi with the shot of nitrous, expects to be in the mid 11's (raced my friends z28 that runs a 13.5 1/4, the is300 just walked away like it wasn't a race)

2 wrx sti's nothing much boost controllers, exhaust

lancer evolution 8, didn't talk to him, but someone said he's got a dyno graph printed out in his car that said it dyno'ed at 470something hp at the flywheel

then i thought it was pretty cool a crx with a d16 swap from a civic, and turbo charged at 8psi

then a mustang cobra with exhaust

and a cop, lol, drives a eclispe gs-t, with mods, its fast (he's cool, he's there all the time, and doesn't care really when people peel out and such, just doesn't want people to be street racing, or playing music too loud)

then a few kids that i went with (like 3 z28's, a stang gt, crx thats getting a zc, and a few other cars)

the bent frame is part of the crumple zone. It is design to bend like that.

When the crumple zone has been crushed, the car is usually totaled. Because you can't sucessfully fix crumple zones.

he's right, listen to him! even if you do fix the crumble zone to your best ability, isn't it still deemed unsafe by law? idk, remember hearing something about that in autobody shop class....

IMO, go with army green if ur goin green, or go with a dark green. my friend painted his chevette in British Racing Green, it looks sick, not 2 bright but is still sick lookin.

i use to have a guitar that was british racing green, its a real nice color, kind of a dark metallic green..

hit sr20forum.com  deals are always popping up for shells. i got my last shell for 600.

yea my good friend just got a 240sx with everything but engine and transmission for i think $850 he bought a new ka24de, and put around $2000 in rebuilding it, new internals, and such, now its running, and he's turbo'ing it once he can save up another $1500-2000........

but im more interested in a fwd compact, especially the ones i listed, that aren't seen as much but have great potential
