I would have to agree with coomer i have done tons and TONS of research on the 3sgte swap and have found out that the wiring can be one hell of a problem and just the swap in general can tak a LONG time frown.gif . But I'm sure that it would most likely pay off in the long run cus.... the 3sgte destroys all lol. But to save ureself the head ache u could probably go with that supercharger but that still involves custom work but all in all i think that would be the easist way to spare all the head aches... Sry to here bout that coomer i would kill the machanic lol. mad.gif

HEy all i thought i would start a new topic so i decided to do it one the Burian Turbo for the Celica GT. I have a few questions and if some 1 who has the turbo installed on there car or has heard something about it can answer them i would be thrilled lol biggrin.gif. OK first off i wana know if the turbo is reliabel and if its really easy to install? Also i would like to know where i oculd get the parts that are not included in the pakage. That all for now thanks for reading.

Aight well its clear that i should definetly go with the 2 gen 3sgte engine which im assuming comes from the 5 gen celica so is this what i should be looking for?

90-95 toyota-celica st185 3s-gte+5spawdmt (front clip) 225hp

i found that from venus-auto and im assuming thats the right engine but can ne one tell me if that will for sure fit into my 96 celica GT ST204 Hatch?

Thanks guys ive learned more about the 3sgte engine in one day than i have in like 2 years! biggrin.gif

Also i know bout a turbo made by burian and i was wondering if i should just go with that because it seems with labor costs and accesrories that this turbo may be the cheapest way to go and ill only lose around 20 HP between swaping the engine and buying the turbo. I would love if u guys could give me ure opinions on this. biggrin.gif

i understand all of what u guys r saying but what i really need to know is what parts i would need to buy meaning intercooler exhaust ect and if i need them just to run the engine and i also wana know how long the engine would last cause i dont wana spend like 4 thousand and only have the engine for a year and then it blows on me. I have a 96 Celica ST204 HAtch if ne one can right back to me and give me a complete parts list of what i would need to buy and and estimate as to how much money labor and parts would be it would be very much appreciated im really close to afording this swap all i need are these estimations and i will be good to go

Aight people ive been thinkin bout getting the 3sgte jdm ST185 motor for my car but it seems to me that there is tones of custom work that needs to be done in order to mount it and make it work. What i really need to know is do u need parts extra (like new exhaust or an intercooler) just to run the danm thing.?? confused.gif

And also ive seen the Burian Turbo but it is 2,500 bucks and im wondering if thats the cheapest bang for my buck deals. Also is the Burian Turbo going to require extencive custom work by myself??
