That blue header looks like the one on my GT, except mine isn't blue.

Is this the parts CD that Toyota dealers use by any chance? I think it's called the Electronic Parts CD (EPC) over here.

Thanks everyone. It seems everyone uses different size tyres though. I found a great website though that tells you how far out the new rolling radius compared to original wheels will be.

Tyre Calculator

From this I'd say 215/40/17 would be best, I think that's what I'll go with smile.gif

I'll probably lower the car afterwards too.

I've just got some 17" alloy wheels but need to get some tyres for them before I can put them on the car. I've done a search on the forums but it doesn't seem to be working confused.gif

I'm running 205/55/15 at the moment, that's the standard for a GT right? Which is the best size tyre to get for

a) looks
b) to keep the rolling radius the same
c) comfort

I've read about 215/40/17 and 215/45/17 tyres but I've also read about 205/45/17's somewhere. I'm confused which is best for me.

Also, what will my Celica look like with 17" wheels but standard suspension? Will it look like it needs lowering?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

QUOTE (AgtX @ Aug 8, 2004 - 9:51 PM)
Whats the actual name for the thing that holds the rear numberplate? I want to take my UK long plate holder off and put a jap style small plate holder on, having trouble looking for one cause i dont know what its actually called. Anyone know what the name is and where i might find one? part number?

Cheers.

Hey, I've got a UK GT amd want to do the exact same thing! Infact I was just searching the forums for any info when I came across your post.

If we find out the part number will UK Toyota dealers be able to get us one?

Also, has anyone got any ideas for what to do with the front number plate. I think it looks kinda ugly, like it's just been screwed on afterwards. I can't take it off because it's against the law over here mad.gif
