Hey guys, so my boot on my front right cv joint ripped. The cv joint is still good as far as I know because it is not clunking at all when I turn sharp right or left. I bought the 2 piece replacement boot that does not need any disassembly to install, but after further looking at how it worked, I decided that it was garbage and returned it. So now I am stuck taking the axle out to put my new boot on. I just wanted to know how to take the axle out. For those who have done it before I would greatly appreciate any advice for the job, because I want to get this done ASAP before the CV joint goes bad. |

you know you own a celica when you are on the thruway driving the speed limit, but your rpm's are at like 4000. |

alright, and yes it is a 5sfe. On a scale of 1-10, how difficult is doing these gaskets? because Im not the most experienced mechanic, but I have done things like short shifter, header, exhaust, brakes, struts, ect. I just have never really taken apart the engine. |

Hey guys, I did search for it and couldn't seem to find a thread on how to replace them. I have a slight amount of oil residue forming in cylinder one. I heard you have to take the valve cover off and replace the gasket and these spark plug oil seals. What are the seals actually called and how are they removed and replaced? |

alright but there has to be some sort of silicone for the inner seal from the bottom of the header into the exhaust. That ring like seal correct? |

Alright, so the bottom O2 sensor usually is a pain, will keep that in mind. Is there any sort of silicone that should be put on the gaskets so that there is no chance of leaks? |

Are there any stickies of how to install a header on a 5S-FE. All I can find is one for 7A-FE. I know that there is a difference in the amount of O2 sensors, but do I need an extension from the bottom of the header to the cat? Or does the ebay aftermarket header fit perfectly into place. |

yup, I did it with polk audio shallow mounts. It does produce some nice bass, but I also have a kicker 12 in the back. If you want good sound quality upgrade your rear speakers and do the sub conversion in the front and upgrade the tweeters. You are going to need a 2 channel amp and the wiring to the doors is kinda annoying. Also make sure you do sound dampening material in your doors so that you don't rattle alot. http://www.6gc.net/howto/install_subwoofers_in_front_doors |

Do they make a rear strut bar for coupes that fits underneath the back panel behind the seats? Not a hatchback where there is the open space back there, but a coupe where there is the dash panel made of particle board above the strut bolt ins. Let me know if you know of any |

ok sounds good. So when these are in use, do think running my 1000 watt amp to my sub would be too much draw for the alternator? I mean I know our alternator is pretty beefy, but I don't want to end up killing my alternator this winter. |

OK, so my parents are junking our old subaru outback and it has heated seats in it. I already took out the heating elements and the plugs and wires. How could I wire these seats in into my car, and I want to modify the plastic where the cigarette lighter is so that instead of the empty hole next to it, I have the 2 switches for each seat. So my question is where should I draw power from and what would be the easiest wiring? |

I think by serviceable he means that the bottom bolt hole is adjustable. I had this problem with these struts. When putting them on my car I had about 4.1 degrees of camber on both rear tires. Because of these struts being aftermarket, they can not be adjusted to fix the camber. I guess they make a bolt that is smaller than the stock bolt that have a knob on it, and when you put it in the bottom strut hole you can adjust your camber. The other choice is to have to drilled out from left to right. This is where I stand now, and I can't find the camber fixing bolt kit thing, so now I am down to having to get it done at a shop. Any other ideas? |

Ummm depending on where you got the shoes from, when I ordered my shoes they got them mixed up the the regular drum brake for the non disc brake set up on the st. They might be slightly bigger than the actual shoes, but might still fit on there. I don't know if this helps, but it is a possibility. |

I just got the same 40 dollar one. It went in very easily and feels great. The purple spacer one. Take the advice the information guide on this forum has, cut that small plastic piece under the boot instead of taking off the rocker panels. I know it seems kinda barbarian to just cut through your problems, but in this case it really does nothing for structural support and it just there to be annoying and in the way. good luck |

get honda s2000 stub antenna so your car doesnt like like a remote control car anymore. Maybe wrap the riser blocks in C/F. this is one beautiful celica though, they rims sit nice. One question though, does the car feel kinda strange on those rims? Meaning does it seem slower acceleration and loss of handling or on the contrary. I have heard of some people putting too large of rims on 7th gens and losing a **** ton of handling. all and all sweet ride |

alright the alignment and new summer tires are now on and done. The car handles like a dream. Thanks for the advice on the alignment. The car is now braking alot better with all new rotors and calipers, and now turns with new struts. |

So I recently did struts all around my car, and now i noticed that my rear wheels are starting to camber. Im a little worried about my tread wearing strangely. Im not looking for the vdub camber look that is retarded lol. Any ideas? do i just need an alignment, or is something i can adjust. |
