When I did my tranny I left the drivers side axcel in and and had no problems. No the CV don't need to be taken out as the cradle is down but makes it a pain in with both still in but can be done. You did remove the flywheel bolts that arebolt on the torque converter right? As you said you could see the fly wheel if you remove the torque converter bolts did you push the converter forward? Check to make sure you toke every single bolt off the tranny. Beside that should come right out. |

I would suggest getting one OEM, maybe make a topic in the selling/Buying section if anyone local has a VSS (speed sensor) laying around. I have a VSS from my 95 celica a140e from my old tranny and works but I on the east coast. I would pay no more than 40 or 50 buck used from someone. Your gas issue is because the VSS is not working as it hook up your ECM and Neural saftey switch. Check for broken wires or blown fuse, make sure the connector was not damage when you reomoved it. only three wires for the VSS so that make it easy. If all fine get another VSS |

It not some it's a lot of force on the rear mount. Nothing is pressed up againest the engine. I video record the sound it's not perfect as I record it from my phone and make sound like exhuast leak but it not. IF this sound helps in anyways. http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/inu...t=VIDEO0001.mp4 |

Do you have the upper door speaker covers for both sides? They cover where the tweeter use to go. |

The centerconsole and shifter don't vibrate. Just the corner end of the passenger side and the steering vibrate also. I had these problems even before I replace the rear and passenger side mount. I tried adjusting the passenger mount front mount and the right tranny mount no change. |

Thanks for the suggestion but the blower motor is not the issue. The vibration is more metal on metal. Might have to video tape the sound and post it here. Being a Toyota tech I scene my fair share of fun rodents and acrons in the blower motor. |

Hi I am looking for interior parts for my 95 celica gt, I am looking for the center console where vents and clock are on. Also the upper speaker covers on both doors where the small tweeters use to be. Looking for auto trans bezel as well. |

On newer toyota with obd2 they have Toyota code which can't be read by a normal scanner. Don't think Toyota came out with this back in 95 though. Then you have either a ECU problem or a blown fuse that goes to the ECU. Did you unplug the negative side of the batter to reset the memory? If you did then you have to run the car which is impossible as you are doing the exhaust. like Box said get everything done first and go from there. In the meantime look at all your wires and make sure none are broken. |

I would either plug the os sensor back in or replace it. Some celica in 95 were obd1 or 2. There is a fuse for the ECU check to see if that is bad. Curious though how many flasshes are you getting when you jump the terminals on te1 an e1? |

Also your going to have to lower the front exhaust pipe down a little bit and lower the center crandle frame too. Personal it not easy project if you not done them alot. The Bell housing (PLate stiffener) has 6 bolts and Smaay is correct it has to come off. I would not use the gasket I would try to return the aftermarket gasket as it junk if you have not open it.go to your local toyota deal and buy some Fipg as Smaay suggest. I am a toyota tech and those gasket don't last very long and they start leaking again. |

Nothing going to happen if you spin the crackshaft or the camshaft if you have the timing belt off but if you don't line up the dots right then ya you will run into trouble. There are dots on each gear to show you where to line them up. That is what Smaay is saying with timing being correct.(If I am wrong Smaay my bad) I would suggest buying a repair book for your celica (Offical toyota repair if not no big deal) If this is your first time doing a timing belt I would take to professional and save your self the headache. |

I ran into the same issue long time back when I put in my first tranny in my celica and i tie knot on the throttle cable on my celica had no issues. I would check to see if you alot of slack on the throttle cable before doing this though. I personal keep my rpms around 900 at idle anything else lower it start to vibrate.TPS might need to be adjusted make sure timeing is right. |

Hi, I am new to the forums here but I am toyota tech and owe 95 toyota celica. I thought i would see what kind of answer I get as me and my toyota tech friends can't seem to figure out this virbration issue with my celica. It's 95 toyota celica gt hatchback. the Car seem to virbate really bad at 1,000 rpm, The dashboard on the passenger side make a loud virbating sound. At the same time another vibration goes from the front of the car to the back. The engine is fine the timing is right the motor is not shaking. Replace all the mounts on the car. Thinking maybe someone has run into the same issue and fixed the problem. Also I don't know if this is relate to the vibration or not but I was under the car and had someone put the car in drive while pressing on the brake. keep at 1,000 rpm. I notice when it got to 1,000 rpm the engine would a lot of stress on the motor mount to go up. I check to make sure the mounts where on tight and none were lose. any input or ideas would help. |
