Links would help Thanks I installed the TRD shifter tonight. the install was easy until I dropped a socket on the top of the transmission and didnt have a magnet to retrieve it. I got it done and took it for a spin. I thought the stock shifter was a little hard to find 3rd and 4th when speed shifting and that 5th and 6th were a long way from 3rd and 4th. this is not the case anymore. I would say it shortened the throws by up to 50%. reverse is a little harder to find but not impossible. this mod was more for my wife as she is 5' tall and i didnt like the way she had to reach for 5th but it will help on the rocks as well. I did get the knob as well. My knob had white writing instead of read on the top but red TRD on the sides. I didnt have to use the nut the knob used all the threads and ended up strait. actual install time was about 40min. This is just and update on this product I got it at cost and am very happy. |
