just do it yourself? you could learn alot from doing it yourself, i did mines in 2 days cause i had to go get new CV boot cause they gave me some smaller ones, dont know why? but you will save alot more money. my clutch was only about $110. but without labor? thats pretty expensive i think.

If he shows you the old engine tell him you want it since you did pay an amount of money for the new one. wink.gif one day you might be able to use some parts out of it. and also ask for a receipt of the new engine.

I've heard of the TC converted to 4WD and that it is the same body style or chassic as the Toyota Cadalina or something like that. Read it in the magazine. But a Yaris with at 2ZZ i would like to see.

I passed Test Only smog with a cracked intake pipe. it was crack at the throttle and had a opening. i use some plastic putting on it to harden up but didnt help. The smog guy saw it and had to get a flashlight to take a better look at it. laugh.gif but i still passed it anyways.

I have the same problem... try driving at a slow speed and steping on your break a couple of times..does it clunk everytime you break? Mine happens only when you break at a slower speed... can't really find what the problem is either.

Used Dynamat like some of you guys recommended...it quiet the license plate thingy a little but the sad thing is i dont have a spare tire and the whole thing on the bottom is rattling like crazy because its open there is no weight in there to reduce the rattle...(I threw away my spare tire because it was bald and wires were almost out from previous owner)... biggrin.gif any suggestion on how to stop the rattling from that area now????..

If you have a alarm with a remote start then there would be a bunch of wires connected to the wires that connects to the ignition. I dont know about the engine kill thingy though on the alarm. But when i bought my car the previous owner had an alarm and took everything out except the wires and a relay that connects to the ignition wires. One day i turn off my car and didnt turn off either. took off battery and opened it up to find that wire and took it out and plug the regular ignition wires to where it should go and everything works fine again.

QUOTE (pepsiman @ Aug 1, 2008 - 9:05 AM) *
"i got that same amp, how do i get an amp to hook up to a stock radio tho?
is there a special connecter or somthing?"

I got the same amp, it came with a connector to hook it up to a normal speaker wire...this is off topic of this thread though kindasad.gif

What i did was connect a wire from the connector behind the stereo because there is 3 power wires to the stereo i believe. This is the wire that when you turn your key to ACC it powers up. I connected that to a switch( for on when i want bass and off when i dont want any) then from there to the amp. without the switch, everytime you turn the stereo on the subs will always be on. I could get pix of the wire connected in back if you guys need it..let me know

By the way GotToyota...It look great..can you try to get a night shot of the stereo? and where did you put your ipod wire?

If you happen to take out the ignition from the back make sure not to play with it and let the wires touch any metal around that area of your car if your car is on because it will spark and could cause fuse to burn out..
