Appreciate the replies and PMs for interest on the car. It was sold last week. I will create a new post with the extra parts I have such as the splitters, riser blocks, premium door panels, etc.

1995 Toyota Celica GT 2.2L Hatchback with GT-Four Body - Manual - OBD1. No accidents & clean title. 255k Miles (mostly highway since this was a CT commuter car prior). Needs exhaust flange and wheel adjustments replaced, RF rim is dented, some rust under the car. Comes with many upgrades. Bumper, hood, rear bumper, riser blocks were all painted within the last few years. Will part out car after a week or so if anyone is interested in more than the GT4 Hood/Bumper since I do not want to continue paying for insurance. Ideally I'd like to sell it as is since I don't have a place to park it and will end up having to rent a space in a lot somewhere to part it out. The prices next to the items I didn't look up, just going from memory or what I believe them to be around. Feel free to make offers on anything not listed. Car is located in Long Island, NY and local pickup will be preferred for larger items. Pics of engine bay and interior will be uploaded this weekend.

New Parts/Services: Clutch, Battery, Tires, Shocks/Struts(used with 60k miles), Alternator have been replaced recently. Have all receipts.

Upgrades: Navigation/DVD/Bluetooth/USB Media Unit by Hizpo,Installed USB Socket (85),17''Enkei Rims,Custom Headliner,Custom Black Sun Visors(20),GT4 Hood OEM/GT4 Hood Spoiler OEM/GT4 Bumper OEM/GT4 Fog Lights OEM/GT4 Hood Latch (sold together 850) GT4 Rear Spats (80),GT4 Sideskirts (120),GT4 Spoiler Riser Blocks OEM (180), Two Post Spoiler OEM (120),GT4 Rear Visor Spoiler by HIC (30),GT4 Chrome Scuff Plates OEM (60),GT4 JDM Tail Lights OEM (150),GT4 Kouki Headlights & High Beams OEM+5K HIDs (600), Clear Blinker Light Housing(40),Clear Side Markers(25),Clear Door Panel Light Covers(25) Not installed Items: SS3 Front Splitters OEM(70), Rubber Trunk Mat OEM (100), Premium door panels (120)

Which seal?

63699-20040 Should still be available from toyota. roughly $20.

63251-20100 Should still be available. About $100

Looks to be the second one. 63251-20100 weather strip though I’m seeing it as discontinued the sites I’m checking. Have a site that still carries this part? Thanks for providing the part number.

Looking for the sunroof seal. If anyone is parting out their car or has this piece from their parts car I’d be interested.

Appreciate the help and tips. Was able to get one sent to me from someone parting out their car. Door opens without a problem now.

Never made to fit ST205 bumper, you will have to custom mount, there will be a slight gap too.

Okay that’s what I was looking to find out. Thanks. May end up just selling and puttin the proper ones.

Looking for a drivers side door assembly since I was told mine is ‘unfixable’ if anyone is parting out their car in the northeast region I’d be willing to pick it up if this is too hard to ship. The problem I’m having is when I go to open my door with the car unlocked, it locks the door when the handle is pulled.

I currently have oem SS-III front splitters and wanted to know if they line up properly with the GT4 bumper. When I hold them under to see where they would mount up, I’m not seeing a direct bolt on solution. Also if anyone has close up pics of how they should look, that would be very helpful if I end up having to custom mount them.

Looking for a used distributor which still works. Had a bad experience with an aftermarket one I got recently, so not looking to try another.

Now the clicking got a bit softer, no idea why. I should have mentioned this as well, but it slipped my mind since this doesn't happen every time. Sometimes the vents shoot out "arctic" air where you can see the actual air itself (which is very cold) - Could this be a symptom of overcharged AC?

Not sure if this is the right section to post this, but dont know what is causing the problem. When the AC turns on now, I hear a semi-loud clicking noise. It is pretty fast and gets louder as I increase the amount of air put out. Is something lose somewhere, or broken? Appreciate the help since it's terribly hot atm and don't want to leave it on when it's making that sound in case it gets worse.

my guess would be bad rings or head gasket. Can't think of a scenario where the distributor would cause something like that. Were you checking he oil level each time before adding more to it? That's a ton of oil to go through in a matter of days, granted it sounds like you're burning it. Just curious. How does it sound when it's running at temperature?

Thanks for the fast reply, had to write this up on my lunch break. It sounds okay now when running, though I do notice some noises when turning the wheel (power steering fluid is full)

Oil Stick Readings:

May 28- After pulling into the gas station, the oil was just about empty.

May 31- The odd thing here is the oil was about 2 to 3 times higher than the "Full" line. I did wipe it off before putting it back in to take the measurement.

June 8- Same as above (did notice some hiccups when driving though as in an instant loss then gain of power when accelerating)

Not sure where to start, but at the moment my car is shooting up oil under the hood and white smoke is pouring out of the exhaust and a little from the oil filter region. When I leave the car running, and begin to take out the dipstick, oil starts spraying out. I'm not sure if I have a bad ring, or this could happen from installing a distributor incorrectly. Here's the breakdown in case it helps.

May 28- After driving for a while (~90 mins @65mph), it started to idle high and overheat when not moving. For this I added 3 quarts of oil and filled the coolant. It drove fine after that all the way home. Planned to take it to the mechanic the next weekend.

May 31- I was on my way home from work (~15 mins in traffic), and the check engine light came on. Within four seconds the car lost power, and the steering locked up. I had it towed to the mechanic and they saw my distributor was overheating so they changed that.

June 8- When I stopped by to pick it up, the distributor was replaced, but they didn't test drive it yet. I said(regret this now) I will take it to work and let them know how it goes. When I was leaving work to go home that day,(~5mins in traffic) the car wasn't overheating, but the RPM's were almost 2k when I came to red lights or stop signs. Pulled into 7/11, tossed in two quarts of oil. Continued home (~15m in traffic) and the RPM problem went away, but now I noticed smoke coming from under the hood (a lot). I added two more quarts when I got home and took it around the block a few times. White smoke started pouring out of the hood.

June 9- I took the car to the mechanics again,(~5 mins in residential area) though on the way the white smoke was now 90% coming from the exhaust (more when accelerating) and maybe 10% from under the hood.

I have a USDM 95' GT hatchback. I ended up getting an aftermarket one from Carparts.com. The guy I talked to said he's never seen problems with the aftermarket distributors and it was $8 for a three year warranty no questions asked. He then said I can order a second one after 30 days and sell it on ebay or use it as a paper weight. Though if the part doesn't work properly, it doesn't really matter if they send me another which doesn't work... The mechanic I go to wasn't too happy I didn't spend $360 on it going through him, and was pretty reluctant to even install it after I told him I was going to get my own.

I have ordered from rock auto in the past, though I don't remember any magnets... Think I got jipped = /

Amazing write up.... That was the plan for this weekend, but now the priority is fixing my distributor since my car died on me yesterday.

Appreciate the info!! If I do get to that, I will probably toss on a new headliner if I can. I vaguely remember a decent how to on someone doing that. Not sure if it was on this site though.

Left work yesterday, and the car died 4 seconds after the check engine light come on. I am looking for a new distributor since mine is overheating. Does anyone have a semi-used one, or know where to get one at a decent price?

I still have another replica set I'm not using if you want. Is 150 + shipping a legit price? (And that's 150 usd)

So it rained and I found out I have a leak somehow coming from the sunroof area along the passenger side. Where do I check to see where the water is coming in from? When I start the car and accelerate for the first time, I hear more water above me moving around.

And it went...So, the problem was the intermediate pipe. Ideally I'm looking for a low to no noise cylindered shaped muffler which is a direct fit where I can bolt right on to the exhaust pipe. If this doesn't exist, how do I go about finding an exhaust pipe and muffler which fits the car? I have a 95 2.2.

Looking for stock exhaust or anything that will fit a 95 GT. Mines on its last leg. Looking to pick up locally around NY since I have a feeling the shipping would kill me.

Thanks

No but these are according to the post. I just got the others because ppl were saying deeper threading is the way to go. You can choose either.

Tightened up the other side of the lower hose and no more leak. Even put it on an incline overnight and still nothing. Appreciate all the help. Saved me a good $300 I'm sure.
