What fiberglass fenders are you planning to run in the rear? Or are you making custom?
As far as I know, there's not much available for the celica that's NOT custom.

Might be something to look into before looking for wheels, if you havne't already.

i'm going to be making the fibreglass fenders. the standard ones look.... awkward so will make them go with the shape of the car better instead. and yes you are right, i have looked everywhere for stuff that may remotely work with the 6gc but nothing. also looked into getting metal ones made but too much effort and cost unfortunately.

Quick update, taking into account what jordisonjr was saying... I have found another set of alloys

3SDM 0.05
16x9
Et20
Wrapped in 205/55/16 they seem like a better and wider fit but would still like to run some 1" spacers for the wider look.

Any opinions or insight?

Rolling fenders with rust never works.
Why not just properly size the wheels, rather than using inch spacers?

What do you mean by properly size? What would you consider to be proper size? I'm having a hard time finding some wide 16s to give enough pole

Front fenders are fine. It's just the rear right one that's rusted that's why I would resort to fibreglass fenders

I have been looking for 16x10 et-38ish and have come across Black Rock wheels and Diamond Racing ones but importing costs are way too high (as much as the wheels themselves) and I can't find anything like that in the uk

a few months back I snapped another set of 18s on the passenger side after driving through a big pothole (seemed like roadworks but wasnt signed up) currently im using my OEM 16s so its definitely time for an upgrade.

what i want to run...

XXR 527 - Flat Silver
16x8.25
ET0
195/45/16 tyres

since my rear arches have metal cancer at the moment and are rusting away i thought this would be a good opportunity to just cut them out and replace them with some universal fibreglass wide fenders.

I also want to run some 25mm spacers and have some mad poke. my car is lowered 25/30ish mm and is on springs (will be getting some Megan Coilovers soon too)

what i want to know is:
1. will i be affected by a lot of camber if i space the wheel out that much and how can i counter it?
2. what size fenders should i go for? i dont want them to flare out way too much. maybe some 40mm?
3. is there anything in general that i should be aware of?
4. this is the kind of look i love and looking to work towards, any suggestions on how to get close to that?

Pic 1
Pic 2

gotta love that unfinished primer look!

p.s i would rather do this look without extended arches and just cut, roll and pull the crap out of originals but its not possible with the rust is it?

I had a look at quad converting the headlights but I don't think the reflectors n glass were made to make the full beams into dipped one's. I did however quad convert my sidelights, changed the bulbs and the fogs to led one's and then blacked out all of the indicators. (check my thread) would like to see how the indicators look if they do get quad converted though. It would be a bit too illegal in the UK unfortunately so I can't do that lol

Here's how mine looks at the front

If the pic doesn't work just copy n paste into your browser as its not allowing me to paste the url in the img box

It's been a while since I came on here

Today I... managed to get some time off work so took my car to get the clutch replaced. Dropped the exedy clutch in there as recommended by some members in here

got the drive shaft seal or whatever it's called replaced as it was leaking.

topped up the gearbox fluid

took it for its post-garage car wash

bought a 2007 Vauxhall Corsa SXI as a run around car. gets delivered tomorrow. started doing over 3000 miles per year on mine so thought i would split it

That's nothing, the average over here is 15,000 miles a year. tongue.gif

My mileage is split between 3 or 4 cars lol I don't like racking up mileage on my celi though because it's my fave play thing n the longest I ever owned a car!

Today I went to test drive an RX8 and a GT4. Absolutely loved both.

I've been lurking a lot lately. Not much has changed but the license plate on my Celica. Here's a recent picture of her. I'm gearing up and gathering parts for my long-sought ST-to-GT brake conversion.

Mine is a ST but has disk brakes all round as factory standard I think. Was it only available on later models or something?

Used the cigarette lighter for the first time and bam, it doesnt work

Can't 100% remember but the cig n radio fuse is the same one so if your radio works it's not the blade fuse. You need to replace the actual cig lighter because the "fuse" on the back of it (the thin piece of wire made out of some fancy conductive crap that I don't know the name of) has blown. It will cost u about £3 And 5 minutes of your time to replace anyway.

i use a Graco one when my baby cousin is with me. it fits perfectly in the front and pretty well in the back but in the back the baby has to be facing forward. baby seat doesn't fit otherwise. (i didn't belt it in for this pic) also not very difficult to disconnect passenger airbag. just need to get to it that's all.

p.s hate to say it but i have to agree with Spider77's 3rd point. sell your car. it will never meet your needs. safe to say family was not main focus when designing the car.

Just get an Exedy OEM replacement, they're made in Japan and are great quality for a fair price.

Found and ordered a exedy stage 1 clutch lol should still feel kind of oem hopefully. Bit over budget tho. Thanks box.

Today I went to get a quote on the Labour for clutch replacement. Any recommendations for a stage 1 clutch? Budget is £200 as I won't be keeping the car too long. Just can't bear to see it in a less than driveable condition.

First time I seen something like that and I got to say that looks ****ing brilliant! I'm going to steal that idea and go with a chrome and wrinkled combination lol

(yesterday and) today i...

lowered the car by 35mm
changed cv boots
changed shocks
changed brakes
changed anti roll bar linkages
refilled gearbox oil. there was literally about 300mil of pure black oil in it.
identified where the geabox is leaking from. the gasket/seal where the driveshaft and gearbox meet must have worn out. will replace soon.
