You can test it. Get a sledge hammer and slam the sensor with a mighty blow.

Ive just swapped the internals in my door from a JDM BEAMS to my 97' AT200.

Ive just moved everything over and was wondering if anybody have the wireing diagram with connectors (TSRM) so i can wire it up and make my awesome windows and mirrors work? smile.gif

Do i need any relay boxes of the Beams? Like for the windows or the mirrors?

Reason i swapped the internals and not the doors itself, is that my car is red, and the doors is white. Now i have a white mirror on a red car, but i plan on just foiling it with carbon fibre foil. smile.gif

I also plan on getting a manly speaker in the door, and swapping the original "lines" in the door card in front of the speaker with some kind of alu mesh or something.
Also goin to put 6x9's in the speaker holes in the backseat. smile.gif

Hello

When i start my Celica and the engine is cold, there is no lights at all. But when ive driven for around 4km's the airbag light comes on. When i shut down the car and start it back up again, the light works as it normally do (lights up and goes off again when you start up the car) and after 2sec to 2mins it comes back. Anyone has an idea of what might be wrong? The car has a 7gc steering wheel in it.

The other thing is when i do hard breaking, the warning light for brakes light up, and when i get of the pedal, it disappears. The pedal feels fine and the ABS works as it should. Might be a little low on brakefluid?

The insurance company say if it is not 100% legal, you can get consequenses. They dont know very much about it, but dont want to take any chances.
If i do major changes, like other springs, bigger brakes, bigger tires, they gotta write it in as a comment on my insurance. And i gotta go to the part of the govurnment that has to do about roads and cars, and show them what i have done... And they need a piece of paper from Toyota Norway (Jęger) confirming what i have done and that it has been done right.

But, if i put a insert in the headlamp, i have opened the headlamp and then the lamp is not approved any more, for some wierd reason... But i have already done that... rolleyes.gif

I think i will just put the inners on first and then i have infinite time to fix the projectors so they will be both legal and look OEM. just to be certain.

QUOTE (Nihil @ Feb 14, 2013 - 2:37 PM) *
On some annual car inspections (here as well) they put some sort of box/monitor in front of your headlight, where they can see how your headlight projects light.. No-one with RHD headlights will pass the inspection (unless the inspector is sloppy).

Yeah, i was working as intern on a car-shop.

We in norway have EU-control. Here we have 1 hour to go over the car and a checklist.

They check the hight on Near lights, and light up a wall just to see if it is ok.
And some even read on the glass if they can find the E...

I belive the long light only have to be DOT approved because they dont have any LHD or RHD spesifics and they should not be on when somebody else is near anyways.

if something is wrong with lights, you get 2(1) points.
-1 is a broken blub...
-2 is wrong adjusted, have to be fixed and showed before the car passes... OR aftermarket xenon, or if they are wrong-ish...

But, there is alot of sloppy-heads, and many wierd things have passed...

We also have the 3point wrong, which means the car cannot be driven because its dangerous.

Here it is also illegal to drive when something does not work.... If i remove my fogs without removing relays, it is not legal...

But, alot of people dont realy care, and i meet alot of ****-heads running HID on Hiaces from the 90's and here the other day i saw a Peugot Panther with Camber on the rear wheels, on stock height.... biggrin.gif

I am acually modding my outers with everything perfectly done, but since the E isnt on the glass, i am realy skeptical to mounting them... I even made them light like they where OEM for driving on the right side of the road. biggrin.gif

But, don't want to risk half my bank account just so my car looks cooler... then i'd rather buy a trackday car that i can modify the much i like without worrying about the stricktest most car hating "last communistic state" on the surface of the earth. biggrin.gif

Last winter they even did this thing where we could only drive alternating days of the week...
monday- plates ending in 1,3,5,7,9.... thirsday- 0,2,4,6,8.... Wednesday, 1,3,5,7,9.... and so on....
and this worked because we have "passes" that trigger every time we drive through a "gate" where we have to pay to use the road we are driving on, and if we drove in the wrong place.... here you go mr.... a ticket for you! kindasad.gif

The problem is, if i change to Projectors i get into serious trouble if they find it if something happens... Like i gotta pay the insurance pay-out if someone crashes into me.

Will it look good if i just keep original outers and put the clear inners inn? Long lights isnt that strict compared to near-lights.

Was thinking of using yellow protective foil on them as well, or maybe gunsmoked.

I had a leak in my rear triangle window, i took off the panels around it to locate it... I sat inside the car while a mate shot at it with the garden hose... found it, filled it with silicone. Never leaked since.

why would the battery spark though, if its new (from october)

It is when you connect the pole to the battery... It will spark because you will have a "bad connection" Momentarialy and it will make a spark if its drawing any current.

You can hear the sparking if you balance a lightswitch between on and off. Because there isnt enough contact between the two sides of the switch, it will come a spark....

The GT-86 costs 455 000 NOK here in Norway.

That is almost 85 000 USD!

Just an update. I did put a bit of fluid in, and turns out that my eye must be alittle bit off. So brake light is off, was the fluid levels. Lol

That means you either have a leaky break hose or your pads/disks is getting worn down... might wanna look over it in case of something is not the way it should be.

Edit: but it can also be nothing at all... but better safe then sorry. biggrin.gif

what welder did u use, aint that cast metal?

or aluminum, hmmm interesting

it's way to light to be iron...

Its cast aluminium alloy.
Used a regular welder that welds aluminium... (TIG)

did it at work, where a collegue helped me. he welds aluminium daily. (work in a electrical power company)

If it sparks when the battery is charged and you put the + pole on, something is leeching from the battery (when ignition is off ofc...).

Every car I've had sparks when you finish the circuit that is attaching the battery.

Never had a dead battery because of such.

But, something is leeching your battery. Those new grounds you have I would look into first.

Also use a multimeter to test your battery.

Mine doesnt spark...
my battery is fine. biggrin.gif

Edit: And i ment like a big spark.... Not a small bzzdt when you put it on, but something a bit bigger then that...
