Augh! I replaced the primary O2 sensor and still have the acceleration problems. Any suggestions on next steps? Fuel Injectors?

So the celica's been having some hard times lately. I used to have this every-once-in-a-while stuttering and uneven acceleration and idling problem which has now become an all the time thing. It'll happen soon after I start the car, the engine will settle at 900 or so RPM, but then stutter every couple seconds, like it was misfiring a cylinder. Acceleration would be very jerky, especially in gears 1 and 2.

The car threw a check engine light the other day, and I did the paper clip thing to test, it was code 25 and 26, which is for fuel air ratio too rich or too lean.

I've got a 1995 GT with about 120K miles on it, and as far as I believe, it's the original O2 sensor, so I'm guessing it's that.. I think I have to replace the main O2 and not the secondary, is this also called the "front" sensor? And it's got a "flange"? The strange thing is that my mileage has not changed, and is good (30mpg highway).

Here's the part I was looking at from Denso, think it'll work? I'd rather do a straight replacement than any soldering or crimping...

Also, is this what I should be switching out?

If anyone's keeping track, I'm almost to 100k, and I go through about 1 qt of oil every other fill up. Nothing's leaking, but I drive everyday to work at ~75mph, which keeps the RPMS around 3,800. I'm guessing valve seals.

Hint to all do-it-yourselfers repairing scratches: don't put the touchup paint bottle on the car while you're busy focusing on a tiny square on your hood, you'll knock over the bottle and spill paint everywhere.

Happened to me yesterday. AUGH! owned.gif

umm, if your interior ceiling has three little plastic knobs in the rear passenger area, I'd like one.

I'm looking for a TRD quickshifter including the pretty TRD knob that comes with it. Anyone have one they're willing to part with?

I had a minor accident on the way to work, but ended up popping both airbags (whee.). I'm looking to get them replaced, so if anyone has these for a 95 Celica, I'd be happy. Thanks!

My GT gets around 26-27 on mostly highway driving. Sometimes I go rev-happy though. ;]

I'm up in the 510 @ Berkeley - I work down in San Ramon, so I could meet y'all down there after work sometime.

Hey - and where were y'all for the past year or so? I used to go hang out with NorCalCelicas @ their meets because no one over here was doin anything. Lolo (from 6gc) and I would rep the 6gc's.

I'm selling the sideskirts that I bought from beastman a couple months ago:

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=35134

I recently rear-ended someone on the way to work (pics up later..), it was minor, but my airbags went, and replacing those is going cost me big bucks.

They're red skirts for the hatch, and I actually haven't even fully taken them out of the shipping box that I received them in. I'm looking to get the same that I spent for them - $150 plus shipping. smile.gif

I've got a double DIN - my CD player will play burned CDs most of the time, but sometimes it refuses to play them. Also, sometimes after listening to a burned CD for a while, it will start to make strange skipping, scratching sounds. Good times.

If for some reason 95CelicaST does not want the lid after all, I'd like it as well.

Just be careful when paying by paypal. Many a people have lost their money by being lulled into a false sense of security. See: http://www.paypalsucks.com/
