Pulled my head off yesterday. Blew my head gasket between #1 and #2 pistons.

Well its not my timing belt. Swaped that out today. Got it tracked down to possible blown head gasket, or maybe 2 bad injectors frown.gif

Could a streached timing belt cause boging and much louder intake growl? I was tryin home today and stalled my car in traffic, after that it bogs pretty bad at lower rpms, and almost sounds like intake valves are opening to early and causeing back pressure out my CAI.

To do a J turn you dont have to hit the brakes at all. Just go in reverse then whip the wheel one way or the other. With practice you can catch the car and do a perfect 180 and take off again.

I bought a CAI for my car ST off ebay for like 30$, works great. I left out the bybass valve cause it took away the sound of the intake.

Sounds to me like its either tranny mounts, or tranny filter needs to be replaced.

You can find jap imported engines with like 20 to 30k miles on them for 500 to 800$. If its a 7a-fe or a 4a-fe its just a direct swap, no changeing of wires or any thing else. I had to drop a 4a-fe in to my car when i threw a rod in my 7a-fe. The 4a seems to have a little more low end power, but little less top end power then the 7a, but you probly wont notice it. Oh and the swap is pretty easy if you have basic mechinec skills. Took me about 4 hours to pull my 7a out and about 3.5 to 4 hours to drop in the 4a engine.

I wont use any thing but craftsman, or snap on. Craftsman is easyer to get replacements tho. I even had a socket that i ground down to fit some thing i was working on, it broke on me and they still replaced it.

Oh man the meet was so much fun. We need to plan another one, and try to get more people to show up. Get couple more people out of portland area. Maybe find a spot that is kinda if the middle of every one. Not sure where that would be. Maybe Washington state capitol building or some thing. Just a thought.
