Doesn't look too bad at all. Check for oil inside your IC and check both directions of shaft play. |

Do you know how the AFM was disconnected from the connector? By mistake, many people unscrew the two screws on the connector which ended up damaging the circuit board inside. The connector must be removed by unclipping the small metal clip. You can cut open the silicone cover and re-solder the connector back, if that was the case. |

So, the trans did not get damage when you disconnect the axle, right? If so, I am interested. |

Then your friend doesn't know much about Celica and MR2 and how S-series engine is mounted on these cars. They are basically the exact same engine mating to different transmissions. You can put 3sgte engine from MR2 turbo in your Celica without any custom work. It has been done many many times. |

Why USDM engine, just curious? If it is for smog purpose, your choice is only the engine from from 94-95 MR2 Turbo. And there are only handful of those. |

Yep, I need a daily driver while the 185 is getting work done (hopefully before the Dragon meet) OBDI car because I don't want to deal with smog. I'll probably turbo it eventually cause I have almost every parts needed. |

JUN stroker is way overprice. You can piece together from 5sfe crank. Or only 1/3 price of JUN kit, you can get the whole stroker short block from ATS http://www.atsracing.net/strokershortblock.htm |

QUOTE(CELL_PROTOTYPE_X @ Jan 25, 2008 - 10:58 AM) Anyone have a stock ct20 internal wastegate, or know of a place that I can get one that will work with this turbo? What do you mean the "internal wastegate"? The gate is integrated to the exhaust manifold. Did you mean the wastegate actuator? |

ACIS = Acoustic Control Induction System ACIS varies the length of the intake manifold while TVIS varies the cross sectional area of the intake manifold. Both system have the same purpose: to improve driveability over the range of engine RPM. |

It depends on your other mods and the turbo. What kind of upgrade is it? Do you have a wideband sensor installed? |

QUOTE(jamesyj @ Jan 9, 2008 - 2:00 PM) Not too sure about your explanation of TVIS. The thing with the butterfly valves within the manifold I thought was ACIS. TVIS was GT4 boost related. Something to do with upping the boost in first/second gear IIRC. You can deactivate this so you have the same boost pressure in each gear. What you are referring is TVSV, not TVIS. TVIS = Toyota Variable Induction System TVSV = Turbo Vacuum Switching Valve Might wanna read this: http://www.gtfours.co.uk/what/tvis/tvis.htm |

JUN surge tank (a.k.a. intake manifold) is designed for MR2. It won't clear the firewall on 5th gen. Not sure about 6th gen. |

It could be so many things that can cause your car not boosting. - Fuel cut - ECU is in low boost mode and prevent TVSV to open due to errors from knock sensor, intercooler level sensor, etc..) - Clogged cat - Stuck open wastegate - Bad turbo |
