Hello Guys/Girls

I just finished my 5sfe Swap because my older one knocked. Anyways before I started the car I checked everything from sensor connection being plugged and all fluids back in the vehicle Everything was good. So I started then popped off the rad cap to let the coolant flow and I noticed after a bit that coolant isn't circulating through the system properly and my climate control stop working, it worked for a bit until I pressed the defrost and then tried the a/c button. it just died. The climate control still has the backlight but when I press any of the selections none of them light up in bright green or orange for defrost. I don't know what it could be should I take my old ECT sensor, ECT sending unit sensor from the older engine along with the newer thermostat/water neck. Could it also be that one of my heater hose is an after market one from the local parts store and doesn't have the factory bends???

Sorry for the grammar I just don't know what to do at this point. I was so happy it started and ran then this happened. I don't know if it has something to do with a sensor that it controls the heater switch from working.

Hey Guys/Girls

I am currently installing my flywheel on the new engine and I ran into something. I removed my flywheel from my old engine and I noticed when I was about to install the flywheel on the new engine that there is an extra hole in between 2 of the bolt holes where the flywheel mounts on. So where the flywheel mounts on there is 8 bolt holes in total and a small one in between 2 of them. Do I have to line that extra hole up with something or can I just bolt the flywheel on anyway of the 8 holes. Thanks sorry for the bad grammar.

Hi everyone I was just wondering if anyone knows the part# for the 2 heater hoses for the heater core that goes from the water neck to the firewall. I am replacing my motor and while its out I might as well replace these hoses.

Thanks

Hey guys I was just wondering what valve or sensor is beside the ECT Sensor and the one beside it. The ECT has a red or brown and a blue wire then the sensor beside it has 1 wire and beside that is a green looking vacuum valve or some sort. Thanks.. Sorry for the bad grammar.

Time to replace the plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

I just changed the plugs an hour ago...same thing still happens. I'll try cap, wires and rotor tomorow.

Thanks lagos

**Could it be fuel filter?

I noticed when I am driving it won't redline in 1st and when I shift into second the same thing as soon as I hit 4000 the needle just stays there and moves back down a bit as if there is a limiter. I don't redline my car when I drive I just noticed it today. **Just Changed my fuel tank, filler neck and sending unit couple days ago due to tank leakage*** if anyone has an input please share.

Thanks

Those wheels are OEM 2002-2004 wrx wheels. If you were going to run a spacer I'd put on either a 15mm or 20mm spacer, to bring you out to +40 or +35. Either way you'll need longer studs, and I don't think the back of those wheels will accept an adapter. I think the best idea is to sell them on craigslist for a couple hundred (pending tires and condition) and move on. Too much work involved for something like that. Go find some nice wheels that will actually fit without spacers.

Thanks...Sounds like a plan..i'll prolly sell the rims and keep the tires... The tires are pretty good winter tires and have a lot of tread left..

Ya I am sure thats the offset, it says (offset 55 ) in the back of the rim. My boss just gave them to me because we had a major shop clean up and inventory update and he didn't want them so I grabbed it. Then I tried them on after work it looks ok but there isn't much clearance between the rim and the caliper assembly... good thing its not touching.. anyways if I do need spacers what size???

they look like these

just a pic I found online

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knows if I need spacers or not because my boss at work gave me a set of winter tires on subaru rims 16x6.5 I tried them on today on the front and the rims look like they almost rub on the caliper assembly. Tire size is 205/55r16

I need some input.. Thanks

ANY parts store will have that caliper bolt too. Any hardware store, any parts store, any place that sells nuts and bolts will have it. I couldn't even imagine not replacing that. Wow.

Ya I didn't drive it to work without. I had another car to use.

mine did to, and to be honest i didnt get a new one. i just left it out and have not had any problems, that was months ago.

wow I can't even begin to understand the retardedness behind this decision.

If you don't know the size, just take one of the ones you have off and with you to Home Depot to find a replacement.

DON'T BE SO HARSH LIKE THE PEOPLE ON HONDA FORUMS.

I don't think its retarded at all, I started changing my pads early in the morning before work and as I was finishing the rear right the bolt busted and the thread was stuck I had to drill it out the next day. I didn't bother taking the bolt out on the other side because I had to go to work. So I created this topic so that maybe I could go online during my break and see the replies then just grab it at work from the parts guys. I would of took the other one off if I had time. But Yah its not good to leave it.

Thanks for the replies.
