Finally Got my 3rd gen finished in June of last year. Did the wiring by myself. Thank god for sticky's. Just moved to oakdale. Damn I miss the olden days on here. Anyone else have a swap around here?

Yup still here. Just swapped a 3rd gen WRC into my 96 last June. That old thread was classic. Haven't really been to a 6gen meetup for a long time. Car of course is stored for the winter but always Rollin around in the summer.

It provides power to the fuel pump when starting. It also turns the fuel pump off when the ignition was left on accidentally. It turns off the fuel pump in an accident. During a major fuel line leak, it cuts power as well.

Smaay- it's needed since the 3sgte is controlled by the ecu where as the body harness has it's on circuit. Pitcelica- thank you for the clarification. So that blue with orange stripe has to be spliced to both terminals. That's what I figured.

Hey guys Sorry to bring up an old post but I'm stumped on this and this pic of the fuel pump is pretty good quality for reference. I'm in the same boat with a gen 3 3sgte going into a 96 gt celica. My motor did not come with the fuel pump relay or ic relay. I'm keeping the front mount I currently have so I will throw a resistor to avoid the 54 code. I picked up a 5 pin Bosch style relay and have been studying the diagrams but I I just wanted be sure I'm wiring the relay correctly. I have identified the 4 wires within ea1 3 sgte engine harness plug. Relay of course has 30 85 86 87 and 87a. Does the below wire configuration to the relay look correct. The only thing I am hung up on is the blue and orange wire but to me that would be a positive 12v and the switched ground connecting together.

Blue w/ orange stripe (What relay spot does this go to?)
87a Blue w/ black stripe
87 = Blue w/ white stripe
85 = Green w/ red stripe
30 = ?
86 = ?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Check your fluid level first. If this is good, it may be a bad shift solenoid. but don't just throw money at parts. Take it to a tranny shop and have them diagnose it. U can decide on if you want to fix it yourself for cheaper.

Can't be cheap when working with boost. Save up until you are ready.

i would assume you bled them correctly. Did you remove the brake line when you were working on the rotor?

could be a collapsed brake hose. You will know if this is it when you go ahead and bleed the brakes. It will not have pressure behind it when the person steps on the brakes and it will just dribble down the bleeder. Happened to my sisters stratus....booo to dodge.

you have to unbolt the entire mirror to be able to tighten the 3rd inner screw. Use loctite so it will not rattle loose again.

I had a 5sfte and now have a 3rd gen wrc 3sgte that I am dropping in. 5sfte was decent but internals held me back such as not having forged rods and pistons. parts aren't really availble for the 5sfte as they are for the 3sgte. I was runining 15 pounds and kept popping head gaskets and pistons even though it was professionally tuned every time. piggy back ecu's fight the ecu and is hard to really control without standalone. Play it right and just drop a 3rd gen 3sgte in it. I spent prob aver 3k on my 5sfte setup. rebuilding turbo, piggy back, injectors, wideband, egt and boost gauges and what not. not going to lie I learned a TON of info building this setup my myself.
