I have the bottom part of an invader bumper you can take. Make is duraflex, but the fitment is terrible. I had a small incident and ended up purchasing the same bumper style again. Problem was I could not get the bottom piece to fit around my fenders, to narrow. Maybe with a little modification you can get it to work. I didn’t want to and ended up fixing and using the original bottom piece from my first invader bumper. It’s yours free if you cover shipping. Otherwise I will probably just beat the crap out of it and really put their advertisement to the test Let me know, James |

Well some good news and some bad. The good is that the bushings fit into the control arms. Ended up taking them to a shop and surely pressed out the old and then pressed the new poly ones in. So I am happy about that. Bad news, I can't for the life of me get the 8" bolt out. I tried the same tactics as Samflint1 and no luck. As well from whalen on the bolt for so long it was starting to mushroom at the end. So I will be taking the celi to a shop where they can use a hotter acetylene torch to loosen them. |

Azian no, you are not supposed to tell me these things. Ok hopefully that's not correct but for some reason i think it might be... So I was able to get an early start to my weekend. Some pics of my encounters from last night. This is how the lateral arms look normally. After I burned off the rubber boot and then comparing to the bushing sent from Paul. One thing I did not expect is what looks like solid metal around the inner collar! Is this what needs to be pressed out? Did everyone else who has finished this install come across the same situation? I am a little worried that I just screwed myself here! Arg.... Well any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi everyone, This weekend I am hoping to join all of you who have installed these poly bushings But before I start I need a little direction. This might be a dumb question, for those who have installed these using a at home vice. Is this one big enough? I ask since I am not sure how much leverage is required to squeeze them in. Did you use anything to help with pushing the bushing all the way through the arm? eg wood with a hole cut out to buffer the arm as the bushing slides through. Last question I noticed that the larger of the rear bushings have a different end between the left and the right side. Is there one way over the other that I should install into the arm. Thanks guys for any help you can offer me here. |

Hi Everyone, I am not sure if this would be the best tactic to go about for acquiring a used one. But if its feasible would someone like to sell me their Re-Bar? I am not sure how much shipping would be with weight and dimensions and all? I am in Ontario, Kitchener/Waterloo area. A junkyard I have thought about but this lovely car of ours is impossible to find in any of them around here. Let me know. Thanks. James |

QUOTE(Valo666 @ Oct 3, 2007 - 3:01 AM) x3+x4..possible x5...lol. Sarah and i might b a bit late...we got some ppl coming in from Windsor to look at her 83 celica. So hopefully we will b there on time. Since you have some people coming to look at the other Celica should I still meet up with both of you? It doesn’t matter to me to wait a bit. I would rather follow someone who knows there way around rather then myself trying to follow directions and drive at the same time. And hey I can be used as competition for the 83 Celica. I can act as an interested customer. Perhaps you will make the sale faster Oh ya so does 11 still work for you guys then??? |

haha its James just so you know, Well I definitely want to come to this. There are just a few minor details. First off I am making my way from Kitchener so the drive for me is around 1.5 hrs depending on traffic. Seeing as how it’s going to be Thanks Giving and the first weekend of Oktoberfest. Traffic will be heavy. So the drive will probably be 2 hours long. Also I have never driven to the "Bluffs" so I have no clue where I am going at all. I am not great with directions to begin with either Also it is my nieces 1st B-day on Saturday as well, so my sister is having a BBQ for her around 5 which I definitely want to make it to. So I duno if you ppl want to meet up a little earlier or not??? It would be helpful for me. As in like 10:00am |

QUOTE(Bitter @ Sep 14, 2006 - 12:10 AM) i can almost guarantee its a driveline problem and not in the trans. another possibilty is that you've damaged something in the differential, but thats more remote since you're not putting down enough power to break that unless you're doing high rpm launchs with a very grabby clutch. but what you have sounds like the classic bad outer CV joint. it may or may not wiggle for you, they usually only wiggle easily when theyre REALLY far gone. your best bet is to just replace the whole axle/CV joints as one peice. the labor involved in doing JUST the joint everything you do for swapping the axle and then another couple hours of work. Alright well I guess ill look into buying a new axle and cv joint's for the passenger side. hmm I find this quite sad for only 115,000km's and I definitely don’t launch the car at all. But I also have no idea how the other owner treated the car before me. I’ve only driven it myself for 20,000km. Do you think I can make it another month and a half from the symptoms? At that point the car goes into storage for winter and then I can work on it. Thanks again |

QUOTE(Bitter @ Sep 13, 2006 - 7:21 PM) check your CV joints, it sounds like it could be an outer joint. reach in there and grab the axle. try to wriggle it all around and twist it back and forth. you *might* be able to get it to move around some if its real far gone. is it almost like a click or a dulled snap? Thanx ill have to go under again and try to wiggle the axle. But today its kinda pouring rain out so might have to wait till tomorrow. and yea its just like a dull snap |

Hey everyone. I have quite the interesting symptom going on with my transmission. I hope maybe someone could help me out here with a diagnosis. Hers the situation, When ever I make right turns or am turning the wheel more to the right, say accelerating onto the on ramp for the expressway I hear a strange thudding noise. Only thing I can think of comparing it to would be tapping on a wooden table. It only happens when I am in 1st gear and is the most noticeable in second gear and at a slower speed. Once I am in third and going about 50+km it can’t be heard. This noise also never happens if I a have the clutch pushed in or I am in neutral coasting. And it can really only be heard inside the cabin and seems to be coming from around the center of the dash but right by the floor. The problem first showed after I got my clutch changed but didn’t start till about 4 months after the change. It doesn’t affect performance at all or I don’t notice it affecting. Another thing, I don’t know if this would have anything to do with it, but on the passenger side axel where it goes into the transmission there is a small leak. I believe the seal has gone. Well that’s all I can think of for now as symptoms, if anyone has a clue as to what this could be that would be great. |

Thanks everyone for the comments, I like getting feed back Ya I know not to many of you are fans of chrome rims on the celi's but I just really like chrome , so thank's for the respect and not burning me on that choice. Ya I would like some jdm tails, but I think ill order them over this coming winter, or wait for another group buy. Well for mounting the grill in the side skirts, I just used bondo. And the grill itself isn’t actually a metal mesh, I just used some plastic gutter guard that I bought from home depot, and spray painted it, then it was really easy to mount with the bondo since its a very flexible plastic. If you need anymore details just let me know. |

Hey Everyone, After spending many many hours sanding, filling, fitting, and then waiting for paint I am finally done! What a great feeling Here are some pics of the exterior all done Let me know what you think... This is the Celi When I first brought her home... And now after two long years of hard work and alot of money... A close up of the rim and the rotor... I also want to thank celicurr for selling me the Boomer Sides. You saved me allot of stress of trying to find other skirts and taking chances on e-bay. |

haha ya when I did myne I had to grind some metal down and then sorta jammed the pipe through on more of an angle and it actually worked really well. Good to hear that you fixed that, must have been annoying when you made turns. Well ill get some pics up of my celi soon in the next week with the rims on, just gota get the sides and rear back from paint so it doesnt look so funny with just a front on. |

Hey thanks for all the input everyone. I had the tires switched to 225/40 and there perfect. The best part is I don’t have any rubbing where the cold air filter sits |

Hey everyone, I tried searching for a topic similar to this one already in the forums and on the net. No luck so I hope someone can give me a little insight here. Yesterday I purchased a rim & tire package from a local dealer around here. I told them I wanted 225/40's for the tires, as I figured this would make my drive a little more comfortable and help me from scraping my front everywhere I go. Also it fills the wheel gap for a way better look. So today I had the rims put on but I noticed that the tires were not as I asked, they were 215/35's. I asked the guy why he switched the tire sizes on me, and he told me that the 225's would cause my gearing ratios to be all screwy and it would hurt my transmission. Now I don’t know if this is true or not since I’v never heard of this from anyone else putting larger tires on. I know it would mess with my speedometer a little bit but I used that miata tire site and it’s only a 5% difference. The guy said if I really want the other size put on then he would switch it, but he just doesn’t want to see me ruin my trans. Now this car is a daily driver and I don’t drive it hard ever. I just enjoy cruising around town. So what does everyone think??? |

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy some oem skirts, from the 96+ Celica’s, 404 skirts or invader ones. Condition is not an issue for me such as cracks or chips as I can repair that myself. All I really care about is fitment. I currently have invader ones but they are so warped that I gave up trying to heat gun them. All I’ve gotten out of that is many scratch's on my poor celi If anyone has some to sell or knows someone who wants to sell them please let me know, Thanks |

I think I know what you mean. Lets say I have my lights all the way off, only thing that is on for me are my day time lights. Then if I turn the light switch once I get all my indicators and rear lights on, including the turn signals lighting up. Only lights that won’t be on are my low beams, day times will still be on in this setting. If I turn the switch once more then my low beams come on and all the other indicators etc previously mentioned are still on. So yes when my lights are on the turn signals do light up. Well for me anyway, and when I use the turn signal like this they just blink brighter. |
