Aye i would probably turbo the silvertop as well but i want just a N/A engine... just dont see to many of them on here. So you think stock pistons rods will be fine in it? I know the aftermarket for the 20v's isnt that great. I was thinking about changing them or boring it slightly over to bump up the compression a bit more. |

Yeah it sounds like the clutch just get the clutch kit it has everything you need (pressure plate, alignment tool, throwout bearing, and the clutch). and you should be fine with just a regular clutch kit from autozone or murrays i think the lifetime warrenty one for the ST is only 190 for the kit. That is all depending on how you drive it. |

A tune up helps really nicely most of the time if you are getting horrible gas mileage i know my car was only running on 3 cylinders when i first got it =X |

QUOTE(vangSTa_celica @ May 20, 2005 - 2:03 PM) But, according to what I've read, the silvertop handles boost much better. Which really wont matter since i said i was going the N/A route. |

QUOTE(rocky2006 @ May 20, 2005 - 12:13 AM) i also heard the silvertop is way over rated. it is actually like 10 hp less than what is advertised. id say go with the blacktop. Yes the Silvertop is overrated by about 10-15 horsepower. |

Ok so the trans finally blew in celica sooo i decided now would be as good of a time as any to start engine build/swap. I have decided to go the N/A 4age route more then likely one of the 20v's. What do you guys think? Ill be completley ripping the engine apart as soon as i get it. Replacing most of the internals. |

Yes i seen it discussed in a few topics up buuut. First question, I went to disconnect the sway bar link from the control arm the and where you put in the Hex wrench is stripped to ****. Any suggestions? Cut the bolt and get a new link? Just disconnect the sway bar from the link all together? Question two, the cotter pin broke off inside bolt when i was disconnecting the tie rod end =X. It broke off enough to where i got the nut off anyways. Just drill it out maybe? |

Alright i cant really decide what i want to do as of a swap, 4age swap, 4agze swap(will eventually turbo being that its already FI setup), 7agte conversion. My car itself is a just a summer car, and not really worried price wise being that it sits in the garage most of the year anyways. Ill probally take it up to some of the tracks once and a while, but mostly just want it for playing around with the kids that cruise all the time =P |

Ok maybe i worded my question really badly =X, what head would be better for a FI setup. I am assuming the Gze being it is already a FI head. But wasnt really sure |

Aye, i completely understand thats it's not all ill need was just wondering if it would be a good start and you more then answered my questions. As for the ECU i have a motec dealer a few miles from house, So I will more then likely bring it up to them when i am done and see what the Motec M4 Standalone will run. |
