QUOTE(56willysnut @ Mar 4, 2007 - 1:08 PM) I have a good spare off my other engine.$15. PM me if interested. Include your P/N. Thanks, but I got one and the car will hopefully be sold by next week. I just spent another $250 on brake parts and I'm done. $550 on water pump, pulleys, belts. $800 in bills with labour done by my buddy and I. The car is going for $5000 firm. |

Actually Lucky Star didn't have it, they wanted to sell me the whole engine, lol. I got it from Mitoi in Brampton. So now that I have the engine running, my emergency brake seized up inside the rotor. This car is gone after I'm done. I've done brakes 3 times on the rears with the same results of the E-brake seizing. I've worked on it, Toyota had a stab at it and my mechanic friend helped me do entire overhaul just last November. Too bad because the car runs great, but not like my 92 Alltrac. |

Found one at a local Japanese used parts place that the Toyota guy told me about. Cost? $25. Brand new from Toyota...$120. Off I go to do the install. |

QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Mar 2, 2007 - 8:26 PM) Part should be stock. I believe it's the same modulator as the Camry. Dealers stock EGR stuff, it likes to go bad. Nope. Called 4 dealers today, none in stock. I'm waiting for 9am to come around then I'll call around for a used one. By the way, my wife figured out everything when she wanted to go out last night and saw the car in pieces,LOL. "Can I use the car tonight?", "Umm, maybe tomorrow, sweetie?" More likely Tuesday. |

Thanks for the hook up. I have a few buddies that work for various Toyotas in York Region. Usually 20% off. Let me know if you ever need anything. I'm wondering how much this part will cost. I've seen them for about $70 US. Called Part Source out of desperation and they quoted $120. So hopefully Toyota will be cheaper. My wife still doesn't know I broke it, and knowing I won't get this til Monday, she is going to snap. Reason? I just got her back on the road after doing the timing belt and pump and she was so happy. Uh oh, she's staring at me and asked me what I'm doing!!! Do I cave or hope that this part is in stock, help me!!!! lol |

So I'm trying to get the throttle body off and I break the nipple off the EGR Vacuum Modulator. Here I am trying to fix the idle issue and I smoke the EGR part. Let me guess, $100? and I bet I wont even fix the idle problem. Besides that I can't get the 2 of the 3 hoses of the bottom of the throttle and I'm not about to find out how much a replacement hose is. Sorry, had to vent. |

I have a 1995 GTS(canada) and I'm getting a clunking sound out of the rear brake and a burning smell. Sometimes it sounds like the brake pads are done, but they're new. I've been told by Toyota that it's something to do with the emergency brake getting stuck and being worn out. Total bill would be over a grand to change all the parts. Anyone have this happen to them? |

The JDM is about 30 inches shorter than USDM, needs to be lengthened if your going to run it through the stock firewall hole. The JDM pinouts are different from the USDM ECUs therefore make sure you use the harness that belongs with that ECU. It also depends on the year. I kept my stock ECU when I did my JDM swap in my alltrac and swapped the original harness to the JDM, or else it wouldn't work. There are about 11 pinouts that are repositioned differently between the ECUs. Hope that helps. |

QUOTE(wind @ Dec 2, 2004 - 8:54 PM) you cant adjust it.... it is set by resistors and such.... if it stalls you may need a new part.... if i had my manual i could tell you what its called Going through the same issue, can you let us know the part that could be suspect? I was thinking it's a fuel filter issue, but I'd like to hear your opinion. |

Thanks guys, I think it's the fuel filter, I'll start with that, probably needs changing anyway. Another question about the timing belt. Is it as hard as my Alltrac? Do you have to drop one side of the engine to get to it? |

Karel at TWM is a friend of mine and all I can say is the shifter for my Alltrac is top quality. It makes a huge difference. Took me a week to get used to the closeness of the gate, but it works flawlessly. Customer support is excellent. Lor |

Living in Canada, it's becoming a bit colder day by day. I've noticed my wife's 95 GTS has a hard time achieving proper idle in the morning and dies. Usually I go out to warm up the car(remote starter still not finished, lol) in the morning. I turn the key, it turns over, the rpms reach about 500 and it dies fairly quick. The only way to get it going is by starting it quickly and holding the gas pedal for about a minute, rev it at about 1000rpm to get it to a proper temperature. What could it be? Fuel filter? The car has 124000km on it. She also claims it shut off on the highway and then picked up again. Don't know about that. Just to add, there might be an exhaust leak, but I don't think that's it, but the car sure is loud. Are these cars loud by nature? Not even my Alltrac sounds like that with no cats. Any help would be appreciated Lor |

Thanks! By the way, I see that steam build up happens to many, any way of resolving this? I know my dad's Cadi STS and other STS have this problem with the taillights. We resealed them but after 3 months, it started up again. Lor 92 Alltrac 95 GTS Toronto, Canada |

I bought a 95 GTS with a water filled hi beam which needs to be replaced. I sourced the light from a scrap yard($100CDN) and I'm ready to replace it. Do I have to remove the bumper? Any instructions or stickies on this? I did a search but couldn't find anything. Many thanks! Lor 92 Alltrac 95 GTS Toronto, Canada |

Just bought a 95 Celica GTS for my wife(she can't drive my 92 Alltrac, hehe). I'm trying to install a Prostart 3 in 1 CT-5000 and I'm a bit confused a few issues. My manual asks for +12 V battery(red wire) and says"Connect to the largest 12 V supply wire at the ignition harness. Ensure that the power wire is fused for more than 30A" Now I spliced it into the black with red wire, but their website says white and I think the12volt.com says white. I think on this forum it says black with red. Which one is it? Lor 92 Alltrac 95 GTS Toronto, Canada |
