Hopefully I will be upgrading to a 3sgte by next year and need to know what all should be planning to buy for? I got a 94 Celica GT. I'll be buy the Motor
Transmission, ECU, Distributor, Alternator, Complete Intake and Exhaust Manifold, A/C Power Steering Pump, All Brakets and Sensors, Engine Wiring Harness, All required Cables, and Turbo... Other than an upgraded fuel pump (recommendations on that) and pressure gauges for interior, what else should I be purchasing?

Also just changed the radiator so I assume if it is rust that the internals of the engine are rusty or just dirty left over water from the engine??

Updated it with an image of what the oil cap looks like. Read that it could be just condesation from water in the engine but since I used water int the radiator, can this be the same as "coolant mixing with the oil" in the case?? These are generic images as I dont have a good camera.

Dip stick looks clean though. I will empty the oil pan tonight to see if anything is milky in the oil.

If is is rust, how can I clean that out? And if only rust, would that cause overheating?

I got a 94 gt with about 160k on it. Started over getting on me. Looked into the thermostat and it tested fine. No leakage on the floor on the passenger side and no sweet smell in the vents, so probably not the heater core. Before i go into the water pump or the head gasket, i want to check if I'm right. When i emptied out the radiator, the water in it is oily brown looking. Im assuming the oil is mixing in with the water. I haven't dumped out the oil in the pan yet but when i looked at the oil cap it had slimy white gunk on the inside. I'd it safe to say it's the head gasket or am i over looking something?? I'll include pics similar to what it looks like.

I have a 94 GT. When I shift gears it feels like Im pushing the shifter over a hump. While Im driving, its not so bad. Mostly in first gear, but I can still feel it in other gears when I shift. Is it the linkage bushings that need to be replaced or something else entirely?

Well heres the low down.... I have a 94 Celica GT. About 2 months ago it starting giving me trouble with starting up. Usually it would be after work on a hot day and when I was low on gas. In the morning it would crank up fine. So I replaced the Fuel Filter. Seemed to work fine for a while, then the trouble would start up again. So I went to the Fuel Pump and changed that out. Now it starts up fine but its jerking like a misfire (changed the spark plugs about 4 months ago so I know its not that) when I drive it and actually made the check engine light come on. Questions: Could it be the strainer on the fuel pump as I put the old one back on the new Pump? The bad fuel pump/filter might have made the injectors go bad?? Or is this a new problem??

I got the car running finally. I was messing with the distributor and I tried the order I saw online for the 7A-FE motor and it started right up. Kind of surprised though... How could this be?? Also have another question... Is there a way to tell if your fuel pump or filter is going bad?? Since I got the car Ive been noticing a lack in power.

Here's the low down.... i have a 94 GT. I replaced the valve cover gasket because oil was getting into my spark plug holes. Replacement went fine. I decided to replace the spark plugs and wires as well. I gapped the plugs to 0.44. Here's where things went wrong. When i replaced the wires, i forgot to mark where the plugs went in to the distributor for the correct firing order... i know, not smart. Also while switching them around, i broke what i read up on line to be the "tvv" or the bimetal vaccuum switching valve. Now, i believe i have the wires connected in the correct firing order but all it does is try to start and sometimes even sputter a bit. My question is, could the tvv be the cause (i heard it could run without it but it would run poorly) or did i mess up on the wire order or what. Any input is great.
