Happened on the way had music on heard something rattle?
Well cruising at 60 suddenly speed goes down and rpms go up like I'm in neutral except 5 th gear. A week ago car kept popping out of 5th gear when I let go of gas pedal. Then it stopped. Recently had new driver axle installed. So linkage issue or clutch?
Hoping it's linkage. Any one have picks of where it is located.
Thanks

Drove home and let go of the gas pedal for a moment and hit the gas then car was in neutral?!?!?!
Had a 18 wheeler behind me scared me.

I'd check your clutch for slipping. Get up to 30 mph and throw it into fifth and then floor it, look for RPM's rising while the speed stays the same.

I'll try that on the way home from work.
But Idk what's the issue I got it to consistently "slip" out if fifth gear today.
Cruising at different speeds 60, 50, 40 in fifth and then releasing the gas pedal.
Gear knob goes into neutral.
I tried holding the gear physically but then it grinds.
After it slips out of 5 th I tried to go back into it but I cant. I end up dropping into 4 and then back into 5

Ya I saw the o2 sensor wire had been cut.

I have a short site intake and the hole for the wire rubs against the side of the reservoir for one of the mastercylinders? There's a cut in the wire but do I really need the sensor

Well seems like I fix one thing and then I get another.

So from what I have research. Code 24 is "Intake Air Temperature Sensor signal" and code 27 "Sub Oxygen Sensor signal"

Looking thru the forum don't see much just on these two codes. First code 24 seems like it's a vacuum leak? Or is there an actual sensor? Like that one that goes in the intake box or cai.

Code 27 no idea what a sub o2 sensor signal is.....

Bought new cv axle from o Riley. Not remanufactured. Had a guy put it in for 50 in a local garage. On the way home I noticed the car vibrates on steering wheel very strong when around 60mph. Also road noise has gone up. On the way home she started to pull right strongly.

So did I get a dud or did the guy put it in wrong?

Easy get a lawyer. Every state is different though check with one with good rep. If I'm not mistaken they do charge a consulting fee but if you stick with the lawyer it is with the bill. Lawyer here runs from 350 to 600.
And make sure to see if that is the final cost that should include court fees and any other fees your state charges. So no worries buddy.

I've had 4 last year 3 speeding and 1 passing in a intersection.
Lawyer drop 3 ended up with one point.
Got another last month in my celica...was profiled out of a group with vette. Now I'm going to take a hit on my insurance.
But don't forget they can only do soo much.
My theory is if you don't have heavy pockets don't have heavy feet.

Thanks box after scouring engine bay for leaks i noticed o2 sensor in exhaust manifold the wire was split in half and no even connected. Put a butt connector on her started her up idles even higher now at 3k even with tps set...
I am going to asume that the o2 sensor is bad causing high idle and code 25.
Want a confirmation before i go to junk yard. Camry o2 should work right?

Drove her to work today. Noticed she ate up some gas. At half a tank about 50 miles a little over a quarter left. On the way home tonight i pulled a code 25. Ill check and see what it is tomorrow. frown.gif

Nope. Change of heart. Decided to go for a mildly tuned 5sfe. Cams are expensive.....so I'm trying my best to cut the cost.

Correct me if im wrong but i thought that you didnt "need" nicer cams unless you were pushing high boost like 20 psi
