I have a 94 ST coupe. I tried removing the lense to replace a blown bulb. I removed two of the three mounting bolts without a problem. But on the third, the bolt turns with the nut. I guess the bolt is stripped from inside the lense. Any suggestions on this problem? I do not want to end up braking the lense.

I just got new 14 inch tires on the steel rims. Went with Yokohama AVID T4's. 195/65/14 The ride is not as soft as with the stock size. Handles better than before.

Thanks for the replys! Just following up.
I bought the 195/65/14 Yokohama Avid T4's
I got them mounted on Friday. They went on without a problem.
I then just drove about 750 miles round trip from NJ to Pittsburgh,PA.
They worked great! And, It was pooring like crazy on the way! Did not encounter any hydroplanning at all. Highly recommend these tires.

Gas is still expensive here in the states.
My tire budget has been effected by the fill ups.
Just looking for an economical way to be safe and to get rid of the dry rotten tires currently on the car.
And yes, I believe Toyota's original intention for the ST was for commuting. Smaller tire = higher fuel economy.

Looking at replacing my stock 185/70/14 tires with sportier tires on the 14" rims. I was thinking about putting 195/65/14 Yokohama AVID T4's.
But, when I called the Tire Rack, they said they could not guarantee them to fit.
Any problems here? rubbing? Suggestions?
Would like larger rims one day.
But with gas prices so high, it's cheaper to just get new tires.

Yes, this is a scam! They did a story on this on abc news. 7 on your side.
They said you can achieve the same effect if your car just goes for a standard tuneup!

Cutrara,

Thanks! for the info. It really helped. I finally got the trunk open using pliers and interior cable. I found the problem was a corroded lock. All the teeth were shot. Now I need to get a new lock and key. Know any places, dealers that sell them? And, hopefully not that expensive.

Thanks again

I did that to grab my stuff out of the back. But that space to enter trunk is limited even with seats down.

YO, I am having a problem with openning my trunk. Here is the situation.
Key fits in lock. But, will not open when turned. The trunk mechanism will not release. Also, the cable release next to fuel release lever was broken off by previous owner. So, can't use that feature. Is there any other way to open trunk so I can try to see what the problem is? Any help is greatly appreciated. frown.gif

Sometimes, dealers will not let you "test drive" due to insurance reasons.

I currently have a 94 ST coupe. Picked it up from a retiree w/72K.
In the past, I had a 91 convertible for 10 years. Also had a 1980 Sunchaser.
Celicas are great! Can't beat the reliability.
