My head unit works just fine, only I don't receiver am/fm reception. I checked and made sure the antanae wire is connected and it is so... Bad cable? Where does the cable run in the car, or is there another issue I should check first? |

Howdy Back in the spring I was diagnosing a problem with my celi overheating. Turns out it was the thermostat getting stuck shut. During the process of checking for symptoms and going through alot of coolant, I must have added too much distilled water to antifreeze mixture because now my bottom radiator hose feels like someone dumped a slushy inside! I didn't notice this until I wasn't getting heat from the vents and my temp gauge showed overheating. I don't think i cracked anything as I don't see oil leaks or fuel anywhere. I went out and bought antifreeze concentrate and used about half of the jug to fill the radiator and reservoir that boiled off though. If I let the car sit for a while, do you suppose the antifreeze will melt the water remaining in the hoses and radiator? |

I popped my hood to check fluids and such and now it wont close! I've tried being nice and setting it down and just pushing it hard, to hulk slamming it as hard as humanly possible and no go. It tried to do this once before but I was finally able to get it closed after slamming several times, but now it wont do anything! Any ideas? |

In a pinch what is the quickest way to open your fuel door when the lever mechanism isn't working? Don't say use a crowbar... I don't have many tools on hand as it is. |

Cool Cool. I just took the car out for a spirited 20 minute drive and revved the heck out of the engine. Upwards of 3k rpms sustained. No overheating. I popped the hood and found the fans did kick on and off. Here's the story as I see it then: I'm thinking the radiator exploded since the thermostat was stuck shut. Now that both are replaced it looks like the system has re-righted itself (crossing fingers). I have one more question. Because I was constantly replenishing fluids while troubleshooting, the system is probably 75% distilled water, 25% coolant. Will this be extremely bad? |

Ok, so old thermostat was not opening. I replaced it with an oem one from toyota and tested it before installing. Thats all good now. I burped the system and even revved it up to heat up the engine. The fans never kicked on and i know they work. It didnt overheat but what makes those fans kick on? |

Replaced the thermostat with a stant superstat rated at 180F The old thermostat looks like crap, Super rusty, and the small washer part with the small spring could move about 1mm before it would be stuck. After bleeding the air from the cooling system, it runs great so far. Can rev it to 6k with no change to the needle. Driving up hills at 4k rpm doesn't affect the temp at all. On the freeway i can do 3k rpm with no problems! ![]() Hopefully this holds true tomorrow when i drive when the sun is out. It's been a few months, how has this been holding up? |

Hi all Last week my radiator cracked at the fill neck. I replaced it with another and that seems to have gone in just fine. It holds fluid without leaks. I also picked up a new thermostat but didn't install it yet. So... today I filled up the radiator with coolant and went for a test drive. It started to overheat again so I stopped, let it cool a bit and opened the cap to fill it and let the bubbles come out as it ran, heat was on. The reservoir was bubbling up too. I also unplugged the fan sensor so that they could run continuously just to be sure that they weren't part of the problem. Well, the fans work and seemed to slow the pace of the temp gauge rising, but I'm still overheating. Tomorrow I'll swap in a new thermostat. What else should I look for if that doesn't solve the problem? |

in and attempt to get a rusty, stuck, and almost stripped bottom bolt out of the piping to replace my thermostat, I unscrewed a piece on top of what I think was the A/C unit. Pressure was released. What did I just do? |

just a follow up. Genesis delivered the radiator. It came well packed but no warranty paper or anything. It supposedly has a lifetime warranty |

Guys, I can't thank you enough for the support. I really wish I had waited for all of these great replies before ordering from Genesis Auto. Seems some people have had decent success with them and others have not. The radiator has been shipped already so I can only hope that it comes as described - in decent shape. I'm kind of nervous now ![]() I'll order some hoses and a t-stat while I'm at it though to finish the job. In case anyone is wondering what my radiator looks like here's a pic: ![]() |

My radiator cracked the other day and my engine temp. shot to the ceiling. I parked it immediately and shut the car off and had it towed home. I don't think there is severe engine damage but the radiator damage is catastrophic. What's the best place to buy a new one for a 95 GT convertible? Also, it was the very top part where the hoses connect that broke. is this individually replaceable? |

Anyone have either both or one or the other doors for a white celi? I have a convertible so I am not sure if there is a difference in doors when it comes to separate body styles? |

My trip odo is stuck on a number. It tries to spool over the 9 of the rotating cylinder and return to 0 on the next mile but it is just moving a little and clicking back to the 9 while moving. Is there a way to get into it and see if one of the gears is off or something? How do I fix this? Actually, the clicking sound it makes while broken is quite annoying. |

Hi! My drivers door was stuck closed the other day due to ice. I was able to thaw it and got it to open but now its stuck open and the latch is in the position it would be in if the door were closed! This time it is NOT ice because I parked it in a garage to let it thaw and it's still stuck in that position. Obviously I cannot drive the vehicle like this because the door will not close with the latch mechanism in the closed position; right now it just swings freely open. Any thoughts on what is broken/stuck? if nothing else, any links to show me how to successfully remove innards to get a a look at the latch system in the door itself? |

Anybody fixed a seized vert motor, or done any work on them? I had to remove my driver's side one earlier this year since it was stuck. The gear part rotates fine so it's definitely the motor. Also, do both sides use the same motor, the only difference being wiring in order to have them spin the same direction? |
