I'm afraid we don't It's nearly impossible to get a hold of R134a in Sweden without the right certifications, I suppose I have to get it filled at a shop which is ridiculously expensive does anyone know where the pressure switch is located, it'd be nice to know if the refrigerant actually is the problem before I throw away 700$ on filling it |

I've had my car for over five years now and the A/C has never been working. Today i decided it was time to have a look at it, and so it begins.. When I press the A/C button it lights up but the compressor doesn't kick in, it does however when I override the clutch with a separate wire directly to the battery. No problems so far, there are however two more wires coming from the compressor, what are these for? I read somewhere else that the compressor might not kick in if there aren't any refrigerant in the system.. is this correct? If so, how can i tell if there is any refrigerant in the system? I've tried to peek through the lens but I can't see anything.. I tried to override this by disconnecting a sensor on the lines (dunno if it was the right one though ) however this just started the fans so i suppose it was a temerature sensor or something.. Anyway, I then decided to have a look at the relays. I thought that the A/C button simply controlled the A/C relay which in turn controlled the clutch magnet. This is where I completely lost my patience.. there are five relays, two of which belong to the ABS-system, two to the fans and one to the compressor. I thought it'd be a simple matter of bypassing the AC one to see if it kicked in or not, but when I did so the friggin fans went on instead?! I concluded that the AC relay simply wasnt where the lid said but despite this I haven't made much progress.. if anyone has any ideas or possibly a wiring diagram it'd be really helpful |

as i live just by the sea i get this every now and then, but once it took on some new proportions as i parked my car for about two hours or so while i was finishing up a few stuff at work, when i came back out it had a grand total of 11(!) "spots", i was just facinated how it could even be possible not to mention when i was riding a bike and *splaff* my whole visor turned into a nice white/brownish tone, almost drove off the road.. |

QUOTE(sinner96ST @ Dec 5, 2006 - 11:11 AM) not a huge fan of ABS, I can do the braking myself, just gotta pump em gently and it does the job. if your wheels lock and it goes off, its just doing what it was designed for. sounds normal to me the thing is that where abs is the most valuable, in an emergency situation, you just wont be able to stop the car as soon as with abs. let's say a kid runs out in front of you on a slippery road. it's hard to "pump em gently" in such a situation, even if you do, you wont use the tires grip as efficiently and you have to concentrate to keep the tires from locking up. i'm not really a fan of all these systems that keep you from doing this and that but abs in one of the things i do like, can't really see anything negative with it valo666: i guess you can pull the fuse for the abs and try without just to see how soon it locks up |

ok, guess we'd better stick to the english then. yes the superstruts is quite rare, if you have them, just make sure everythings ok, they're VERY expensive to fix/replace |
