Finally, the car has been mapped, but i suspect it is not optimal. Its harder to start, uses more fuel and its useless below 1500rpm. I talked to the mechanic about the last problem, and he just answered " youre not supposed to drive at 1500, so it doesnt matter". When cruising the AFR shows 10-12. Same conditions with the stock ecu it was around 14-15. If i slowly apply the throttle when driving below 1500rpm, it suddenly jerks forward. Above 3krpm it has got way more power, but drivability has taken a serious hit. That's unfortunate. A well tuned car on a standalone should be just as drive-able as it was with the stock ecu. I can't tell from the previous posts if you only did the road tune but I would recommend a proper dyno tune. When it comes to tuning the car it's worth the money to have it done right and by a well known and experienced tuner. I hope you get it resolved! I plan on going with a standalone as well so I am definitely interested in your setup! |

One of the best sounding exhaust manifolds in the supra world. Very clean car! Now I wanna hear a sound clip of this car. I love some 2JZ noise. The F1 manifold gives it a pretty great noise when she heats up. I will put together a little video this week |

Looks good! How do you like the 6466? Thanks Man! I really like the 6466. I wish I had tried others to compare it with. It spools pretty quick, it's great for the street. Around 4600-4700rpm the quick spool valve is opened and it's basically full boost. I couldn't imagine what it would spool like with e85 |

I've been lurking on this forum for a while and haven't been all that active. I decided to start this thread as I know a lot of other members also have Supras and these threads often handy. I bought this car 4 years ago now since then it has change quite a bit. I did what I could which was only the small stuff, most of it not listed blow (stereo, seats, bolt ons, light refurb, etc.) So when I bought the car it was fairly stock and only had a few BPU items: Greddy Intercooler (from an r32 skyline kit) Greddy Boost Controller Cusco Coilovers Mines Exhaust De-Cat Defi gauges The car wasn't in the best shape, the paint was mismatched, it had a broken(cheap) frp bumper, cheap wheels and rubber, also the greddy intercooler had seen better days. Mechanically everything checked out and it was running fine. A break down 3 years worth of stories into a sentence and list of current parts. Hey Guys! I am new to the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I live near Toronto, Ontario. I own a 1994 Celica GT4 and 1994 Toyota Supra RZ. I have had the GT4 since they were legal here and I now use it as my winter car(don't hate me haha). I bought the Supra 2 seasons ago and it has been an ongoing project ever since. The GT4 is basically stock. It came with a blitz bov and enkei wheels(not sure what type, I have never seen them before). Besides the wheels, bov and a working radio it is as stock as it comes. After I bought this car my dad took it for a drive and fell in love. He purchased one two weeks later haha! My GT4 has seen better days, the paint is stone chipped to hell and I am in desperate need of new oem suspension or coilovers (current oem's are completely shot). However it runs great. These things are beasts in the winter, I have literally pulled pickups and cars out of snow banks. Hell, if I find a winding snow covered road I am almost positive the car smiles with me. Snowfall warnings = Fun My dad's GT4 on the other hand has been neglected a bit. The paint was in poor condition when he bought, and now it's peeling bad. It had seen the drag strip a couple of times with the previous owner and the clutch is now toast. He wanted to sell it but I convinced him to keep the car. It's now sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. We plan on turning this into an amateur rally/autocross car. The project won't be started for quite some time still but when it does I hope I can count on you guys to help with my questions! Curently the Supra is my main focus. I dumped tons of $ into it these past two seasons. Last year I went BPU and fixed the exterior. The car is now sitting at 396whp @ 17.5psi. Of course that wasn't enough and this year I found myself buying a single turbo kit. So in the fall it will be going under the knife again. Once that is done, on to the GT4 upgrades I go! Look forward to being an active member and learning some stuff from community! Here are some pictures! Family Picture! (Supra before facelift) Another of all three Old photo with friends One More Supra! (this year) Supra with tiny rear rubber (last season) For those interested here is an exhaust video of the supra (mod list in video description): Boost Logic Stainless 4" Josh |
