i dont know enough about the 3S-FE and 3S-GE but i can tell you this, there is nothing wrong with swapping a 3MZ into a car that originally had a 1MZ. just use the intake manifold from the 1MZ and use all 1MZ electronics. another theory i have is putting a 3MZ into a truck that came with a 5VZ. Just use the 5VZ manifolds and electronics. so it might be possible to just swap in the 3S-GE and use all the supporting equipment from the 3S-FE Thanks dude. It's good to hear someone who has tried or is thinking of something kind of similar |

to be honest, its not a worthwhile swap if you successfully complete the swap, the drive will be exactly the same except for a boost in power at 6000-7000rpm, and if you dont get all the ACIS wiring and solenoids hooked up properly those revs will just rev out flat. the 3sge engine is good in a little sports car where you thrash it around at the rev limiter, its a peaky engine that does all its magic towards the redline. do you really want to drive around town wringing the neck off a rav4? the most logical choice is either one of the st205 or st215 3sgtes I have already got an 300bhp mr2 with an st205 engine in it. This will be a little play thing that I might take off road. The n/a too me will be a fun little thing. Also for the price that I paid for the 6th gen, It would be a shame for it to go to waste |

i guess the swap would be like this one http://rav4gtt.wordpress.com/page/2/ you'll need wiring diagrams for both and see for yourself, as always it will be rav4 body loom and celica engine loom Thanks. I have seen that site and it does answer a lot of swap issues for me. However he has used a 3sgte while I will be using the 3sge n/a engine. I need some advice from someone who has experience with the 3sfe and the 3sge to see if the engine looks are interchangeable. The guy seems to have used a wiring guru in the states to solve his problems. This is a very expensive option for me due to the shipping cost of the two looms from the UK to USA and back I have managed to hunt down the diagram for the rav4. Now I need to find the one from the celica |

Looking for new cam gears for my project. HKS, AEM, ATS, or JUN or any others you would recommend? Head is built by ATS with there 700+hp package with BC Ti retainers, 274 GSC cam, Ferrea competition plus valves. I always try to use Jdm parts as a personal preference. But I would ask the engine builder for their advice. I am not sure of how adjustable the different ones are, or what adjustment you need to dial your cams in properly. So really ask the people who built it for you so far. |

Hi Guys & Girls I am kinda new to this forum, but have been using it for advice over the years. I have an issue that would be nice to get some clarification before I go ahead with my swap. Basically, I have a 99 Rav4 with a 3SFE engine. The engine is damaged so I want to replace it as soon as possible. On the other hand, I have a 95 st202 3SGE Engine. I know that the engine will fit pretty easily, however, my question is to do with the wiring. Is there any way that I can reuse the wiring loom from the Rav4 on the 3sge engine as they are pretty similar. I know that I would need to use the 3sge ecu Thanks for any help on this |
