i think u can get about 150-160whp(proly a little more) on 5sfe w/o nitrous or turbo....but good luck on producing 200+ whp complete airflow upgrade (cai/exhaust/header) ur jus looking at about 10-12whp so if u get cams/ecu/port polish proly another 18-25whp... stock healthy 5s ur lookin at about 115whp and u add 12whp+25whp=152whp |

nice set of headerz...jus like the ones i used to have....ur car do get louder, picks up much better and the chrome will start chipping off XD...wrapping it isn't necessary, its really up to u....no codes will b thrown and it won't pass emissions/smog but its pretty easy to take off and put back on(the sensor is a bi*ch to take out and put on). No you dont need to get anything welded but u do need to get some bolts...heat sheild won't fit coz the aftermarket headerz don't have the holes for tht screws to go into...if u wanna c picz check my profile of my baby b4 i got n a accident =(... edit: forgot to mention after i had cai, headerz, cat bak exhaust my MPG's improved XD...went from 300mi/tank to 380mi/tank... |

QUOTE(Valo666 @ Jul 26, 2007 - 8:01 PM) do an S14 or S15 front end..if your rad support is messed up, its perfect because you need to cut and weld in the new one. i think i'll stick with the s13 silvia front because it's a coupe, if it was a hatch i diff go with s15... i believe if you don't have an bank account on paypal it wouldn't be a "confirmed" account and it'll be kinda hard because some user prefer an "confirmed" account...but if just going to the buy/sell fourm you should be fine with an unconfirmed account... |

QUOTE(Culpable04 @ Jul 26, 2007 - 4:31 PM) that really sucks but you're ok and at least got the whole car back and not just the frame of it. btw does it have any frame damage ? if it doesn't then go ahead with your JDM plans looks like just the radiator support...everhtning else is okay as long as i use a hammer... a few months ago i got into an accident with my beloved celica..i went and got a 1993 240sx got it for about six months now and it got stolen...the bad part to that is that who ever stole it got into an accident(not with another car..thank god)...sad sad day.... it was a few days ago, i went to the gym...worked out a bit decided to go to my car to get some water and it was gone...reported it stolen to the PD then thirty minutes later a sheriff called and asked to see if i was okay, i was like nope because my car is stolen, he was surprised he said that my car has gotten into an accident...i was like omg....he assumed i got into an accident and left the scene, i was like heck no, why would i leave the scene if i got into an accident i love my car, he then told me that it's been impounded and i could go pick it up whenever i can...but yeah i got the car back and this is what it looks like... now somewhat considering doing an jdm conversion... sad sad day.. i guess having it like this is better then having it stripped... |

i believe there'e a few threads on the 5sfe headers.... if your looking to get an 4-2-1 good luck... for 4-2-1 you have to get the 3sfe header and modify it to fit because the down pipe is different... this header is okay to use i had one before i got into an accident(you can check my profile i have a pic of my engine bay)...there were some noticable gains...pretty much this a header with no cat and has two holes for both sensors... i personally would perfer a 4-2-1 but there's non made for the 6gc 5sfe....hope this answers your questions... |

2zz in a 6gc can be done but i personally think it's not worth it for how much you spend just to get the power but if your looking to keep it legit then i guess it's okay....i really just depend on what you want QUOTE(celica95st @ Jul 5, 2007 - 6:34 PM) i bored my engine to fit the 2000 celica GTS pistons in....cheaper and much better. 12:1 compression and ran 12.6 12.6 at a 1/4 mile is really fast for just high compression motor....but then again idk what else is on the inside... you looking a 250+ hp @ the wheel and a lot of weight reduction to be able to hit 12's(and that's if you can stay on the ground) |

QUOTE(cel97ica @ Jul 8, 2007 - 2:05 PM) i have a Injen CAI thought i bought of NOPI.com its for the GT but it fits on my 97 ST it also came with an intake but i opted to leave it off, i just figured its more air from all sides but thats just me, i didnt need any modification theres just 2 tubes that you dont need to connect anything to ones for the vaccum hose i think and the other one i forgot the only one you need is the stock gromet from the airbox and the air sensor theres a hole for those i didn't know there was a cai for our cars...to my knowledge there's only sri... if you live in cali, where laws are now really strict, go ahead and get the injen sri if not then go on ebay and get a cheap one...it really don't make much difference on name brand and how much money you spend on an intake... |

i personaly think that the light flywheel wouldn't be that bad if you have supporting mods(i/h/e)...i have a fidanza flywheel for my s13 and it seems to be pretty good for top end...there are arguments on you'll lose torque if you do the light flywheel, light underdrive pulley but then again idk....i say go ahead and do it because that's how you'll know if you like it or not.......if this is your first mod i don't think you'll notice much difference though... |

thanks guys... i've done some research at nico and i think i'm just gonna go na(live in cali so it's too much head ache if i get pulled over) because i've seen guys making 170whp-180whp that's enough for me...my na goal is high 14's/low 15's at the track(maybe start drifting too lol...) later on down the line if i want more power i think i'm just gonna go ka-t... sr/rb swap is good but i would rather have a torque monster over a rev happy motor(do to my 5sfe torque experience)...and i think the ka parts are easier to come by over the jdm goodies... even though i no longer own a 6gc i'm still going to be visiting because this is the first forum that i've ever joined and i love it here... Supersprynt - not turboed but i'd rather have a torque monster(and if i do decide on sr swap it'll prob be a s14 black top with vvt) OrbitalGT95 - yeah the coupe is more of the silvia look....180sx is cool but still perfer silvia thanks again guys.. |
