Long time no visit! Hope all the old timers are doing well, and that the new folks are enjoying their stay. Wild to believe I joined here over 9 years ago! So wild. Graduated college in May 2012, Bacholers degree in Architecture. Moved to Charlotte, NC 18 or so months ago. Got a job as a Manufacturing Engineer for a company that makes school bus safety products. Got engaged 8 months ago. Sold the Celica, been gone for a little over a year now. Sold it to a younger guy, probably mid-high school. Was very excited to pick it up. Had ~150K on the clock, and was still running strong. I bought a 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, Auto, in Pearl White with the Ultimate package (pano moonroof, navi, heated leather etc). Hope all is well for everyone. Ill check back in a couple of days. |

**** This Game. Infinity Ward's spawn system makes me wanna throw my whole xbox out the second story window. It is just as bad as MW2. People spawn behind you, 4 seconds after you kill them. Waste of my money |

1. Sleeper (N.) Often reffering to what appears to be a ordinary looking stock commuter car that is anything but stock under the hood. Pretty much the exact opposite of your every day riced up civic. "My bone stock looking 1967 Volkswagen Beetle with a dual carbed, big bore and race head equiped engine gives quite the ego bashing when a ricer can't hold up to his own challenge at a light." edit: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=79429 <-sleeper |

Since when is 200 fwhp "fast" and worth 20 grand? And saying celica STs and civics can get over 35 mpg an extra 10 mpg isnt worth $20,000 more. Even if it is faster than an average car(but still looks, feel, and drives worst), its still slower than most performance built cars.90% of people that saw it would laugh, especially when the person driving acts like the car is fast, its almost worst...Put 20 grand into just about any other car and youll have 300+whp u have to look at the K-sight like this. The car stated with 60ish hp at the crank, to make it into something with 200WHP, ur increasing the HP almost 3x to the wheels. I think the k-sight is an interesting "science project". And if i had the money, or the know how, id do it, just because i think its cool. I doubt anyone here with a modded car, or money pit, does it because others think its cool. They do it for themselves. |

So a BMW m3 with complete stock body pushing 550 hp to the wheels isn't a sleeper? no its not, because the M3 badge says it all. Not to mention the more aggressive styling ques that BMW gives there M cars. Mak, I see your point. And yes, the AE86 is cool, and yes id love to have it. But i dont think its a sleeper. Can we agree to disagree? |

coolest because its being swapped into a toyota? and the ae86 def will not pick up chicks, or be called sexy by anyone outside of an automotive enthusiast. Similarly to the K-Sight. To each his own, I personally have always enjoyed sleepers. edit: "and my sleeper beauty 1988 Celica Alltrac." Thank you for being a hypocrite, thats right off your profile. I also assume thats y there was an edit on ur previous post, where u added ..""sleeper" front wheel drive cars...." |

I like it because it's different than every other Honda out there. I wouldn't pay 20k for it. That shop does top notch work check out the KR-Z it's very cleanly done. the KR-z is 17k plus the donar car...thats almost a $40k car. thats a little nuts. Cool, and next we shall be looking forward to seeing the 3sgte powered Prius... :-/ So your saying, if you had the opportunity to make a sleeper Prius you wouldn't? for 20k that car is a bargain. its not pretty but your talking great fuel economy and great power. best of both worlds. It is 20k plus the Insight which ranges from 4k to 13k. I get everyone point that its not the prettiest car. But, as I see this swap/build, its ment to be a sleeper. Sleepers shouldn't be eye catching, or exude the feeling of speed. They should look stock, and should defiantly be underestimated. I don't think anyone would disagree that a Honda Insight would be seriouly under estimated as a quick car. |

First gen honda insight with a K20 swap... 200WHP in a 1900lbs car. Win? http://www.lhtperformance.net/documents/lht_k-sight.html Discuss. Personally I find it interesting, and I love sleeper, so this is awesome in my eyes. Up side is 200whp sleeper, and 45mpg highway, Down side is I hear they will build it for ~20k plus donor car. If i had the money I would buy it/have them build me one. edit: I feel the overall workmanship seems top notch, its not stripped out, and seems to be easy enough to DD. (as stated by LHT Performance) Honestly it looks OEM. |

It annoys me that most of these cars that swap these monster engines don't actually use any of the power, as the platform cant handle it.Its mostly just to say you have a 2jz or LS3 A guy my dad works with has an volvo 240, with a Chevy Camaro V8 in it, my dad doesn't really understand the tuner scene, and asked "why do that?" The guy responded with, "its a volvo....with a camaro engine...its now sneaky fast" The idea of "sneaky fast" is why people do these swaps, not to utilize the full potential of the motor. I personally love Sleepers. |

How much do YOU feel its worth? And the worst the guy can say is , "No". IF he seems offended, apologize, say you really are not sure what it is worth. Then take it from there. Ask what he thinks its worth, or what he would like to receive for it. Edit: I saw this the other day near me, http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/2365054361.html, but I didnt go look at it.. Hope this helps. |

I personally enjoyed the last episode (Americas Toughest Truck), I have always enjoyed the challenges that require them to spend very little $$ and do something wild. Also, i believe the toyota was purchased for the similar 3000$ as the other 3 trucks. |

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for my health, my family, the new members to my family, and a community of nuckleheads. Happy Thanksgiving 6gc ( I bet the 4th person here, is greatful for "ball bearing turbos..and nitrous oxide" lol) |

it was really terrible. to much editing/cinemetogrophy. not to mention everything they said sounded robotic, and basicly scripted. will watch the whole season, but i really have little hope for this show. |
