Hello !!
I have been a member of 6gc since I bought my first celi back in 05. I love the car! In fact I have tried my hardest to keep the car in the family but to no avail. I am putting this up as a feeler to see if anyone would even be interested in my baby!
The newest pic I put up has the new polished/and black konig rims and tires on it. They have about 6k miles on them, I dont use the car very much in fact I put about 3,000 every 7 months or so as I travel so much, its mostly driving to the airport and then back.
I can post more pics up when I get home on the 29th of this month as I am in Canada now.
The car is stock but kept in very good condition. The major overhauls were completed in 2006 which included, New: Clutch, water pump, thermostat, 1 front axle, radiator, brakes, starter, and probably a few other things I would have to dig through all of my reciepts for. This year I put a brand new (not refurb) distributor, and end of last year was when the new tires and rims went on it. I wax it every few months so the paint isnt starting to blemish anywhere, it has rock chips on the hood from when I lived in Jersey for a bit. The quarter panels one the front are pratically brand new since it was hit while being parked by a bus, in which my insurance paid for it to be brand new for me.
Im sure I have more to say, and haven't even decided on a price that I would be willing to let it go for, being that i just spent over 1k on tires and rims for it.
Anyways, Its out there now, and before I put it up on some awful website I thought I would give my fellow lovers of my car a chance to take a look.

Thanks!
Tiff

ps. She is currently housed in my garage at home in Modesto, CA
I have a great shipper that shipped it from NJ to CA for me for $700 if someone needed it.

i dont know where these things are or what they look like

I got this off a corolla forum.... Just copy and paste, it helped me find mine which is the ufo looking thing in the middle top engine part closest to my windshield

":Maybe a little late, considering when the original post was. Anyway, the EGR valve is in the back of the engine, towards the windshield wipers. You'll see what's been described as a "UFO looking" object. That is the EGR Vacuum Modulator. Follow the left (as you're looking at it) vacuum hose and it goes down towards the EGR valve. The EGR valve is actually mounted on the engine, about 6" or so below the EGR Vacuum Modulator. Hope this helps!!"

I am having the same 71 CEL code on my car, but the weird part is that it comes on them dims off!
I didnt think the car would 'remember' the code, but sure enough I have the OBD1 and it came up 7-1.
I am going to try to clean mine out today, reset the battery and see if that helps...

Good luck

you could get one. or you could just unhook the battery before you go.(yeah you'll lose your radio presets but look at it this way, you dont need to jumpstart your car)

I went and put a new battery in it today, Lets see if that fixes the problem, if not, I will deff take you up on your suggestion, THX!

Ok, so I have a wacky schedule with my job and it takes me all over the US for seminars and stuff, which unfortunately leaves my poor car at home, not being started for 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks on end!
This is my problem, My car wont start after sitting for 2 weeks,
I know my first suggestions should be to check the battery, check the alternator.
But I am pretty sure those things are still kickin',

Should I install some sort of Battery Tender, or Battery trickler?
Or any other suggestions?
*I have asked my roommate to start it, but recently we were both gone for 2 weeks, and it wouldnt start then, since it sat there the 2 weeks we were gone, AND its kinda weird asking him to start my car every couple of days while I'm gone*

So please send some suggestions my way!!

Ok, so that is the part number of the clip, how about the part number of the metal piece that the hatch cover hooks into on each side... Can I get that from you please?

Lol, I am in need a one clip and one metal piece... ironic... Junk yard has let me down, and it starting to annoy me, it rattles in the back when I drive!

Ok, now the worst thing ever that can happen when you take something in...

The stinkin car wont replicate the problem... MY car only wont start when its sitting in my garage, it sat for two days, waiting for the starter to act up and then what do you know?? no problem.. So we go pick it up
and sure enough, give it a crank and doesnt start this morning, how annoying...

And the worst part, since there is no problem, they wont fix it.

DOOD! I had the same problem... Go to a junk yard and pick them off your same make and model of your car..
I have a 94 and picked them off a 93, they dont fit! Just a little bit too short for the flap to connect properly in the hinges and come up with the hatch.

Wow, Ironic, I am having the same problem with my celica.
It just started happening a few weeks ago, I let my car sit for about 4 days, and instead of my faithful car just starting up as normal I turned the key and it just clicked to the on position.
Today I had to take my key out, and try again, just the click, and again and again about 10 times, until it did start, the car has no problems remaining on, just the start portion...
I took it to autozone to make sure it wasn't the battery and sure enough the battery is fine... I am going to see tomorrow about the start and see where I can go from here... thx guys ;-)

I need two stickers for the back seat windows on my 94 Celica GT Hatch.

Who has them or makes them for free / PayPal exchange?

I want to sport the community.

BTW, Here is my car (me on my husbands R1 smile.gif )

Nice setup, now scrub that engine bay and your battery needs some TLC.

Where did you buy the parts from?

Hey! I am looking for a stage 2 clutch for my 94 GT...

I have been looking online for a while and have been getting opinions of local friends with 5th gen celicas and they are big fans of

SPEC
ACT
clutchmasters

I did ask my friend about a Exedy , and I thought they were a good company, but he just so happened to have ordered one from them and it was a defect! mad.gif

For now I would suggest looking on ebay if you want a stage 1 or OEM clutch, but for myself I would prefer just one step higher... a stage 2

Does anyone know of any other good companys or suggestions for a clutch for a 94'GT?

Hey, Im here in Orlando, and I was recently shopping around for a good company to paint my hood and front bumper, JUST for the hood and front bumper (for my last 6th gen celica) it was going to run about 1500. I did find some guy that ran a shop out of the back of a used car dealership that said he would paint it for $300, then I asked him how much to paint the whole car, he said he would do it for 2000, for the whole thing, that is just a guy here... maybe you will have better luck asking around used car places, b/c when they get their cars from auctions, they have a 'guy' fix it up really cheap to sell it right away again. I hope that helps.....
