worked like a charm cleaned the idle regulator and now it is idling at 800 - 900 rpm. |

Hey, my car is reving high when the engine is hot abote 1300rpm, and when cold its 800rpm, what might be the problem? it has been this for a long time. busted tps? or its sucking up false air? |

the BGB has details on how to do it. you have to use to special tools (SST) that push down the bucket to make enough room to pop out the shim. its not an easy job to do in the car. personally, I take the cam out to change shims. its much easier. Tnx mate, But taking of the cams is a pain to... Can u buy a set of shims or do u have to do some thing else? |

hey i cant remember if have posted this before but, how hard is it to Adjust the valves? I rebuild my 7afe and forgot to adjust the vaves after reseating them.. I feel kinda stupid because of that. Any one? |

There's supposed to be a ground from the back on the intake manifold to the firewall, it gets forgotten a lot. The ECU grounds to the manifold so if the manifold is not grounded to the firewall separately it can cause funny issues with the computer. Then there should also be a ground from the head near the alternator to the right strut tower, and from the other side of the head to the left strut tower that is also connected to another ground wire on the transmission. Along with the main ground that goes from the battery post to the transmission and to the nose right in front of the battery. Yes thats rihgt it works like a charm now tnx ALOT! thsi one is now mounted behinde the starter on the block. You are a life saver |

It might be the rotor, checked it last week and it had some corotion on it, i cleaned it and put it back. spoke to a toyota mechanic and he sayd it might be a ground fault. need to check this after work |

it works fine when idle. only when i hit 3k rmp it starts to be the ishue. i have been thinking of both thos things.. but the timing shuld be good. |

I am curious to see how ease the engine will go back and lined up with the Gearbox. Please take some photos of how you will put it back. thanks Ehm. i Had to take the trany out :S it was mutch easyer to fitt the engine w/ tranny then just the engine whit the trany in place Piston ring What abote them? |
