Haha, thanks for the infor guys. Definitely makes sense. You guys in the UK and AU get some sweet gas, while "premium" where I live is 91 octane. I'm also glad others have taken the time and $$ to do that experiement ![]() |

Hey everyone, Noob question here, so bear with me, since I couldn't find anything through searching. Just wondering what kind of fuel you guys put into your celicas. I realize that anyone with a swapped or Turbo'ed 6G obviously uses Premium, but what about those of you running 5SFE or 7AFE engines? I would think using a higher octane fuel would increase performance a bit, but does it? Or is it dangerous for the engine? Any more importantly, is it even worth it with the rising cost of gas... Thanks! |

Sorry, I must of missed your thread somehow, 6gsillyca. Forwarding some of the PM"s would be great, since it's pointless to have two of the same WTB threads going; no point in clogging up the forum. Thanks. |

Hey everyone, I'm looking to possibly buy a 3SGTE swapped 6G this summer (i/e in July). I know it seems early to post about this, but since they are rather rare, I figured I should get a head start. If possible, I'm looking for one a black hatchback (but post anyways if you have a differenc color). Preferably little to no modifications on the swapped engine. And no rust/ as clean as possible. If you are selling one now, or in the near future, please show me what you have. I would be bringing the car back to Vancouver, Canada, so preferably I would get one from somewhere on the west coast. I am willing to spend around around 6-7k, USD, since tax is going to cost alot to bring over the border. Thanks alot ![]() |

We don't get GT4's in Canada. We got all tracs, but they're expensive and rare, and 5th gen. I actually live in Thunder Bay Ontario right now, and have for about 5 years, but I'm going to university at SFU (in Vancouver). When I move back, you can bet I'll be combing the autotrader! Thanks alot for the imput, guys. |

QUOTE(ILuvMyCelica95 @ Jul 16, 2005 - 12:43 AM) hello and welcome ![]() hmm Autotrader is usually good. Have you checked E-bay? Also check the Buy/Selling forum on here I know a few people are selling their 6gc's. As an Auto driver I can tell you that you should def keep looking for a manual if thats what you want, and a GT for that matter, esp if you plan on swapping because its less work to swap into a GT ![]() ~ Tina Thanks alot, yea that "feasible engine swap" sticky in the other forum was very very useful! I'm certainly gonna look for GT, but I could not stand to drive auto (no offense to anyone). Even though I'm a relatively new driver, I can't stand the feeling of not being able to grab the gears. |

Hey everyone, I just joined, and I firstly wanted to say that it's great to find a community devoted to celicas. I've always loved them, and I'm looking to buy my own 6G next year, and hopefully to swap in a 2nd or 3rd gen 3S-GTE. I'm currently entering grade 12, and while I know im a youngin, I am definitely NOT into the whole rice/ street racing scene that alot of idiots my age are. Anyways, I've been searching alot of buy/sell sites such as autotrader.ca (I'm canadian) and many of the celicas I see are auto. In fact, I could find barely an that were not auto, and I was wondering why that is. The ones I could find in standard were all more expensive (as I'd like ot pay under 10g's if possible, to allow as much money for the swap). Anyways, I was just hoping to get the imput of all you more experienced guys...if I could get some info as to why/ where to look, that'd be great. Hopefully I'll learn alot from this site, so as to be as prepared as possible for my first project car. Thanks. |
