I bet you could hit 300 with a good tune and a few supporting mods. I'm pushing into the 400+ range but my engine is fully built with lots of supporting mods including a larger turbo(Borg warner s256@17psi).

One last question...What's the part number on both of the TRD brake kits? Just want to make sure I'm looking at the right part. Thanks!

Looks great! I'll need to download the template to see if they'll fit with my 17s. I can't believe there's a TRD bolt on solution...Thanks for posting.

I'm interested in the TRD kit. I've been looking into replacing my front brakes now for awhile. Any pics with the rim on? How large is the rotor?

Anyone know how to remove the metal vent tube in the 3sgte valve cover? I want to replace it with an AN fitting. Any info would be helpful. Thank you!

I figured it out. It's a press fitting that you can grab in a vice and twist until the sucker comes out.

Hey guys, I finally got my car tuned last night and I wanted to share the results. I wasn't able to break into the 400's due to my ignition system not holding up, but I got close. Car was tuned on pump gas with no water meth, and boost was set to 15lbs. I apologize for the poor engine pic...not a lot of sun in the garage smile.gif Only bad thing, when we got the car off the dyno I realized my power steering belt had fallen off apparently due to a wobbly pulley...Guess it's time for a new pump.

Has anyone done any upgrades to their ignition system and if so, any recommendations?

ENJOY!

Thanks Sunny. The engine is fully built. I'm actually in the process of breaking it in before taking it to get tuned. So you're recommending just running a catch can with no return to the intake on the turbocharger? Since that other line is just sucking clean air(iscv), can I run that to a separate can with a filter on it with no need to route it to the turbo intake as well? I'm just thinking of ways to clean things up a bit.

My set up will probably be much different since I have a custom intake. I have a dedicated port for it and capped off the end and the ports not in use. I have a pic posted in the multimedia section under engine pics if you want to take a look. (Last post)

I'm looking to get some new fittings and plan on running a catch can, but I first have a question. (See pic below) I'm wondering if I can run both lines pictured to one can, and just have one out to my turbo inlet pipe. I'm not exactly sure what the line coming off the throttle body is for...referencing my manual I believe it just says "air hose". It's currently run to my turbo intake so I imagine this would be an ok solution. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you'll need to remove the top mount intercooler, but RacerX, Full Race, and Doc Racing all make manifolds for the gen3 motor. Be warned...it'll cost you smile.gif

There are differences. I would find one for the gen3 motor.

I ordered this piece for my build, and got the wrong size for the intake piping I'm running. It's yours $70. PM me if you want it. Outer diameter is around 2 7/16.

I have a 4 post from a 94 with the airbag and cruise control in great condition. If you happen to move away from the 3 post, let me know.

Thanks for the response. I'm actually using a source right off the intake manifold(the picture shows how my line is run). I was just wondering if there was anything closer to the bov that I could tap into just to make the line shorter, and hopefully in doing so, make the valve more responsive. I'll probably try a lighter spring, and see if that fixes the issue.

Can I pull vacuum from the throttle body for my blow off valve? I see two lines going to my charcoal canister, but am not sure if I can use those or not.

The issue I'm having is that the tial valve just isn't opening fast enough, and I'm getting flutter every time I shift. I'm thinking the issue is the length of the run, and the fact that I'm tapping that source in two spots for my boost gauge and boost controller. I purchased the bov spring based on idle vacuum as suggested, but am thinking about getting a lighter spring to compensate for the poor vacuum source. Any suggestions are appreciated. THANKS!

There's no wastegate pictured. You're seeing a Tial blow off valve.
