I didn't buy my coilovers yet, is SS-III something that is comparable in price to do, will it look any different, and I don't race so will I even need it?

you dont need any relays. if you want them to come on with the driving lights, then just tap into the side marker wiring on the fenders!

Worked like a charm. Thank you!

I thought the bulbs were blown, but I just tapped into the wires to install my JDM Projectors (the small bulb on low-beam) and that won't turn on either.

Any specific fuse or relay I should check? All the other lights on fuse 30 are working fine. Been scratching my head for too long, I need to step away for a bit smile.gif

Here we go. Wish me luck. Just fixed my tabs.

My 1 question is: Anyone got a how-to on wiring the 2nd bulb on these projectors? I saw the thread that said you can wire it into the side markers, wasn't sure if anyone else had any ideas.

Same thing but even better.

I just put in a new radio and I don't think I have an amp in my GT or else wouldn't it have caused issues?

Nice, I have a good idea now. I want my st204 to be a beast but I also wanted to see what the Beams had to offer. I know what swap I want to do now, the 3S-GTE. I know there is a lot of threads on here that will fill me in on how to do the swap.

What is the best transmission for my st204 with the engine swap? I heard the standard transmission on st204 will not be able to handle the power of the 3S-GTE. Also, has anybody done an AWD conversion? Is the AWD conversion worth the money? I'm not particularly worried about the money but I also don't want to spend over the top. I love my Celica but I just need it to run like a beast but with the best bang for my buck.

For now, I'm going to work on getting the 3S-GTE and getting some mods for the exterior. Btw, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I don't hear a lot about Celicas. It would be cool to have a meetup in Vegas.

I am in Vegas. Let's meet for a beer. We can both do our 3S-GTE swaps together smile.gif

Awesome, thanks everyone for the responses. I just ordered the gunk you suggested, that might buy me the time I need to find everything for a Beams swap. I just need to buy an engine and my mechanic can find the rest or do I need an axle as well? Anything else?

Good thing I have 3 cars between the wife and I as I have a feeling it might be a while before I can drive it again once I start....

Nothing on the Wiki page about the 6th gen GT-S. Was this a real thing that was offered or are people making them custom?

Hi, for years I have been driving with a bare metal brake. (Automatic) The rubber must have fallen off. Is this replaceable with OEM equipment or should I get something aftermarket?

Hello,

I don't know much about cars. All I know is that I love my Celica and I want to completely restore it to like-new condition. Who can I PM on here to help answer questions because I have spend so many hours digging around on here but to be honest, most of this stuff is extremely technical.

I just made my first purchase of some projectors on the forum. Besides the cheap wheels and a new double din stereo, she is still stock.

1. What does it mean when people say they have 5k/8k projectors? Did they open up the JDM projector and swap it? Do I want to do this?
2. I broke 2 tabs off... No, my WIFE or my DOG did... even worse that I didn't have the satisfaction of breaking them myself. The thread on here suggests bondo fiberglass or an epoxy. Also a soldering iron. But then I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk1cojemglE
3. Will there be a reason I need to change the RHD projectors to LHD?
4. My mechanic wants 900 bucks to change some leaking seals. Should I grab a 2.2 GT engine and just swap it? (This is my 2nd engine, I've put almost 100k on this one, Car has 170k)
5. Which brand coil-overs do I buy?
6. How do I make her faster? She seems dead inside.
7. Who will hold my hand when I start gutting this thing to put a turbo engine in it?

While I don't know much about cars, I'm not completely useless. If anyone needs website/graphics assistance you just need to ask!

I have a million more questions, seriously.

Hey everyone, I want to wake up my 2.2 GT.

Just so you know:
I don't know if my mechanic has the mental capacity to do a red top swap, nor do I have the the know-how to read this forum and buy all the right parts.

Until I find the right person, what can I do to liven up this car so I can get on the freeway / up to passing speeds better. It just seems, I dunno... flat.

My aunt bought this car in 1995 and it was fast as a rocket it felt like. Maybe it was because it was the first sports car I ever drove. But it would be nice to get this puppy alive again.

So I have been able to rebuild my automatic shifter that got destroyed but Toyota doesn't make the little clear plastic piece that pops into the housing that protects the lettering on the automatic shift assembly. Mine is starting to deteriorate from age and it is really hard to see which gear the transmission is in. If anyone has access to this part, I would much appreciate your time in helping with this matter.

Bonus points: How can I restore the old piece? smile.gif

Today I've finished my front end so here are the final pics of my lamps inc DRL's.
I only realised now that I unintentionally have "angry eyes" lol

Is there a how-to on those headlights anywhere?

Lol. No. I just started chopping and blending. I had no guide or help.

I found it on page 3 smile.gif

Best start is coilovers

Is $1,000 the expected budget for parts then? They don't look cheap...
