I took the alternator to Advance Auto and it is in good position. It just keeps clicking when trying to start. I'm thinking now that not enough voltage is reaching the starter, so when I get off today I will test the voltage with a voltmeter. |

Jumped in my celica and tried to start it and all I get is a clicking sound. All the accessories to come on, but no start. Immediately I thought it was the starter (which was replace 8 years ago), so I started tapping it with a hammer while a buddy was trying to start it. It still would not start. Also, I read the codes and it came back with a code 51. I took the starter off and took it for testing at Advance Auto and the starter was bad. Replaced it under warranty, re-installed it and it still would not start. The battery is good so I recharged it just to make sure it was putting out enough voltage. Tried to start again, still no start. It just keeps making the clicking sound. So now I read the codes again and it came back with a 51 from the ECM. I have read other posts and some members simply replace the starter and it was back running. Not the case here. Any suugestions? |

I personally like autopage if you want a remote start/alarm combo. The siren's sound louder and different than those 6-tone sirens. |

I have a 88 celica and I found it to be that the compressor's magnetic clutch went bad. So I replaced both because the magnetic clutch couldn't be bought seperately, and haven't had a problem since. If I remember right, the compressor was the same for 3s-fe and 5s-fe engines. I purchased it on ebay for 100.00 bucks and it was a new not refurbished compressor! |

Air horns will wake everyone up! Interior piezo sirens will hurt the ears in the car to make a thief jump out! i have a Autopage rs-750lcd and I love it because it does not have that normal 6-tone siren. It has a LOUD unique sounding 1-tone alarm that is different from the rest. |

Your headunit needs to be properly grounded. The factory black wire that goes into your wiring harness may not be sufficient enough for your radio. Creat our own ground. |

Just replace the compressor and clutch together. Same thing happened to me. It seems to be working fine now...huh... anyway, how much did that cost you? -snap I purchased a new compressor with the clutch for $100 on ebay. |

Get an Autopage with an lcd. They are well worth it! Also, the siren is extra louder and doesn't have the standard 6-tone siren. It has a loud 1-tone siren. I have one on my truck and love it! Ebay has them for about 150.00 new. Make sure you have a good shop install it because installation is what really counts. I once had a viper and uninstalled it. I think viper alarms are overrated! |
