Got a set, mods can kill this one

I've got the same deal. checked for blockages and nothing. still runs fine with cold air and blinking light. Also sometimes will not cause blinking light. applied 24oz myself to the system The sensor you showed is the speed sensor for the compressor.

Nah I got it fixed. Sealed it back up at the collector flange to the exhaust pipe and after pumping all the starter fluid out it finally fired back up and has been fine since. My only guess is that the leak was screwing up the o2 sensor? but that shouldn't factor in until after ignition or the lack of back pressure was some how messing up the harmonics?

A 5sfe motor will not start without enough back pressure. Mine has a racing header so no cat. If the seal at the collector is bad enough the motor will not start and simulates low compression. This has happened twice.

I pulled it out of the garage yesterday and parked it in the drive way. Was running a little rough/funny but it was extremely cold. Go to fired it up later and will not start, cranks strong no start. Found a cracked ignition coil, replaced with new along with rotor and cap. I now have spark but no start, even dumping starter fluid in it I have no start. I can't think it lost compression literally over night? Been running great with super good gas mileage. Stumped. Also double checked timing and everything lines up. Again compression is about all that is left but how?

Wanting to buy a set of splash guards for a 6th gen. I need both right and left fenders and the center section that attaches the bumber to the K member.

White wire with black tracer was the cause. Still haven't found the short just moved the stuff around and it fixed itself.

Ok the windows don't get power because the gauge circuit is what activates the relay to give power to the window circuit. So that circuit is not the problem/ Any ideas as to why the gauge circuit would be blowing when before it acted fine. The only ideas I have are the sensors themselves (speed and water temp) or maybe the Alternator fuse (100 amp) which some have blamed before.

I load tested the battery at work today and it checks out very good, conveniently employed at a race team, so it is out of the deal. Trying to just disconnect things now. Brake lights are not it, fuse still blew for gauges.

Got some wild electrical issues here. After rolling the windows down the power windows suddenly stopped working, as in the next day they no longer operated. Then I found a few days later the gauges in the dash were no longer getting a signal only to find the fuse for these had blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew again. The battery seems to have a dead cell or a hell of a drain. It'll drain like over night. Also found that in some cases when you depress the brake pedal the radio will go off as in total loss of power. Getting a little frustrated here, if any one has experience it would be nice to hear from ya.

First yes a compressor can shoot the clutch right out of it and in chunks. 2nd your mechanic should have filled the compressor with oil when you got it replaced 4.0 oz of pag 46 low viscosity by the book. Be careful and run the hell out of the compressor in the next few days because running it before with low oil will cause damage.

Brake clean is god. Or carb cleaner.

Have the engine running while you do this that way you won't water log it.

Actually the radiator support is welded in multiple spots. And there is also a bar that holds the top of the bumper in place that is also welded in place. Fenders look salvageable with a hammer and dollie which is good cause they are $280 a piece last I checked NOS. Here is the site you need I did a rebuild on my Celica which was in FAR worse shape (wreck 3 of now 7). Just take your time. Headlights are stupid cheap on ebay especially JDM ones.

OK I need someone to measure...in an un-wrecked celica the distances between the strut tower bolts in the rear of the car. I need bolt to bolt lengths for all 3 and from strut center to strut center if possible. Thanks much.

Would you be willing to sell the speedometer sensor?

Just get the kirkasaurus mounts for an MR2. They will damn near lock the motor in place and you'll never have to replace your engine mounts. Downside is the car will shake a little at idle.
