Ok need help solving this mystery lol.

For some reason when I unlock my driver side door with my key and I pull the handle to open the door
It locks it self back up.

The only way I can open the door is if i insert the key turn the key to unlock
Hold the key in the open position and lift the handle at the same time.

What would I have to check or replace ???

Just a bit bummed out. They stole my 13’ Silverado last weekend and yet to be found.
Can someone explain to me how vehicles are stolen without the key and how what they do to them /:
But other than that my Celi is safe (:

Also drop your story if you have had a car stolen and if you got it back.

My oil light came on it when the wire broke off.
The sensor I believe is a knock sensor
And is located on the right side of the valve cover.
If it’s not damage then you might have weak oil pressure

My 94 celica gt still has the original compressor and still blows ice cold air.

Question would be how do you take care of them and why do they stop working

I have an 09 Altima that the compressor just went out
I replaced it 20 days ago and it’s out again /:

Lit up other than when starting up the car I thought it didn’t work . But 2 weeks ago and again today
It lit up for only 10 seconds and then goes away same as the previous time anyone have an idea in what it could be

It’s a 94 celica obd1 Manual

I know I’ve been posting a lot of questions lately
But only cause I’m sad cause I see no more posts on the main page /:
Thanks in advance

Fluid was replaced. Operating temp is normal and Stays but I’m concerned about the upper radiator hose looking full
And feels hard when the car is on. Is it normal ? I been driving it like this for about two weeks
75 miles a day. Or what do y’all Suggest don’t know how to post pic from phone .
Radiator hose just looks full

QUOTE (slavie @ Jun 6, 2018 - 2:09 PM) *
Based on the symptoms, I would say the radiator sure isn't helping the situation. Keep in mind that the radiator has the smallest passages in the system, and it effectively acts as a filter trapping any debris and crumbs, reducing it's efficiency over time.

As for the fins, are you sure you're talking about the radiator and not the AC condenser? AC condenser sits in front of the radiator. Messed up fins and blocked passages would also reduce the system efficiency, blocking airflow to the radiator. They do sell rad fin straightening tools, so might be worthwhile to clean things the best you can and straighten fins out.

Finally, the coolant itself. Was it changed when the thermostat was replaced? It doesn't last forever, either. Toyota says 6y I believe, I'd say 10 years is tops for the coolant.

If I were you, I'd throw new rad on it and flush the coolant with Toyota Red (1 gal of concentrate + 1 gal of distilled water is what you need). The plastic tops on the rads crack with time, so rad is almost a maintenance item on these chassis.

Thanks for the update I’ll go head and order some stuff and go head and change them I’ll
Let everyone know if the issue has been resolved thanks.

Both fans work.
Car warms up to normal quickly 5 mins top.
Water pump and thermostat swapped 15k miles ago

bad things I’ve noticed
Dirty radiator almost brown liquid due to oxidation original radiator I believe
And been working in really dirty environments radiator has bugs, dirt, feathers on fins

What would y’all suggest to fix this.?

Car only over heats when it’s super hot and on the highway with AC on
Goes back to normal if I turn of ac

Car stays in normal temp in city with AC on or on idle for long period time

Weird thing happening plz help
Current temp in Houston almost to a solid 100 degrees F
Driving on the high way speed limit is 75 mph doing 80 mph
Ac set to on 2nd setting blower
Car temp rising when going up inclines steep highway up and downs

Temp back to normal when I turn off ac
And normal temp when driving on road ways non highways with ac on

Is there something I should look at
Or service /:
I have a feeling it’s just way to hot for this poor car
But something might need servicing

Just wanted to let everyone in how reliable this car has been to me since I’ve gotten it 5 years ago today.
I work at a construction company so I’m constantly driving everywhere. I’m driving 100 miles a day and this guy gets me there and back home like nothing. Currently at 210k miles I wake up Monday-Friday at 5am and make my day trip. 28 mpg it’s getting me and what makes me the happiest is that I can trust it to get me there compared to other co workers that have replaced their veichles due to engine problems 2 or 3 times and I’m still with the same car. Hope yalls car is giving y’all the same luck

1994 celica gt manual
210k miles

Random question that came into my mind. Does the type of clutch In our cars have a name
Apparently there’s two of them . My friend said my clutch is weird
Because you can change gear perfectly until the clutch is almost fully depressed while his you can switch gears As soon as your depressing the clutch. Does this make sense or I am crazy ? If it does exist
What’s the name ? Can we change clutch types?
Do we have to fully press and depress our clutches ?
One question turned into multiple whoops !!!!

What are your thoughts of this ?
Would you try it ?
Since most of our celica leak would adding more oil ruin the 20k performance ?

Straight forward I have a couple questions answer if possible thanks guys

1. I’m about to replace the passenger Cv axle I’ve never done a transmission flush will doing so now
After 204,000 miles be bad is it ok to replace oil ?

2. What could trigger the car to have a shaky idle randomly
When I stop at a light it only happens sometimes steady rpm and out of no where it drops like it wants to shut off

3 is it normal ? I took out my spark plugs to see overall health and they are white/ grayish tip
With tip still being like new changed 10k miles ago

Thanks for the help
